Technical Development
I wanted to develop my technical skills and create more innovative knits for my Romeo and Juliet project.
I decided to use the back of Lace #1 and join it to the front of lace #2. To do this i had to transfer different stitches from the front and back beds so no holes were created.
The outcome was successful with interesting textures being created with both techniques.

10gg Dubied machine, single bed fabrics
I wanted to develop my colour palette for my Romeo and Juliet project and have 2 distinct collections to base my final pieces on.
I went back over my sketch book and studied colours and created several yarn wraps based on these. I then chose my favourite palette which i feel portrayed my conceptual ideas of Romeo and Juliets story.

Colour & Knit Development
Through research and development of knitted textiles and my own visual research i felt my work needed refining and key ideas and themes to be focused upon.
My colour pallette so far has been a little off, so i spent alot of time chosing specific yarns looking at quality and colour.
I made a collection of yarn wraps from my selected colours and began texting their knitted qualities and overall effect.
I began developing this into my previous knitted textiles designs.
Knit Development of Techniques and colour sampling
Lace Technique with drop stitch to continue involvment of distress and arguments of Romeo and Juliet
