we love useless headcanons in this house ! anyway, gabriel still has one of his childhood stuffed animals -- a ginger cat he calls ‘evie’. his parents initially gave it to him with the name eve, a long while after it was found out he was incredibly allergic to the actual animal itself. they were still his favorite animal, and it was a fair compromise.

it’s obviously more than a little tattered now, but he keeps it hidden in his room between his pillows and the wall. he’s more than a little embarrassed to still be so reliant on it at his age, but he still thinks fondly of it.
