Karin had hardly taken a bite out of her food, so it would seem suspicious if she were to get up and leave now, though she suddenly had an urge to. This man just happened to give off an aura that she didn't like. It was dangerous. Now, normally that wouldn't bother her--considering all the things she faced--but the man in front of her made her edgy, and she didn't like showing emotions like that. She preferred a calm atmosphere, a silent atmosphere.
Apparently she wouldn't get that, since the man started talking to her--sliding into the seat across from her. She stared determinedly down at her food, a passive expression on her face as she did so, nibbling on the concoction. She was used to strange foods, having known Orihime for a while, but this school really did come up with some odd combinations. She missed the simple and traditional style cooking her sister usually did.
She was planning on just finishing up her food and then leaving, without speaking to the man, but apparently he wasn't going to allow that if his question was anything to go by. The preteen raised a steady gaze and met the other's eyes, an impassive stare challenging his amused one.
"Kurosaki Karin," She answered calmly, pushing her food to the side--it just didn't seem appealing at the moment, even though she had come to the cafeteria starving.
The girl sighed and glanced around the room, searching for a face that she knew wouldn't be there. Of course her twin wouldn't be present. She cooked for herself and quite a few other people, so it was rather obvious that she wouldn't be buying her food. She supposed she wasn't really looking for her sister, but rather a way to escape.
Seeing no exit she sighed again, and finally turned back to the man, meeting his disturbing eyes--she couldn't help but feel edgy again, with the way they looked at her.
"You're an Uchiha, right?" The raven finally decided to ask, seeing as the conversation wasn't going anywhere, due to her dull answer before. She had come to realize that most of the Uchiha's looked alike. Pale skin, black hair, dark eyes. Though she had only really met one of the Uchihas. Uchiha Sasuke, to be exact, though they hadn't talked in a while.
Karin, so far, didn't like that family. From what she had seen of Sasuke they were snappy and easy to anger. She just wasn't interested in things like that. The girl licked her lips and raised an eyebrow at the other, her grey eyes studying him.
"Yeah. You're an Uchiha. I can tell."
