Happy 32 to me! This year has has been one of the most substantial years I’ve had on this earth. I remember 2 years ago on my 30th birthday sitting in my room, alone, and crying because I was 30 & had nothing to show for myself. I was so unhappy & depressed, literally the only thing I cared about was my momma & my pets lol (not funny, but we laugh at trauma to cope over here) and now… I’m in such a better place. I have a job that I love — with a great position at that! have my own place… I’ve made some new friends while still cherishing the friendships I’ve had for years. I’m as close to happiness that I’ve been in YEARS. I am grateful & thankful for being able to say that I’ve made it this far, even when just a few years ago I would’ve checked out if I had it in me. I’m glad I didn’t ! Happy birthday to ME! I’m so proud of ME! And I’m happy I stuck it out because I’ve come to know that there really can be rainbows after the storms. Every day isn’t peaches and cream but every day is another day to grow… & I have grown & slowly continue to grow into the woman my momma & daddy always knew I could be.
