Really Pup? Because Jimmy wrote extensively (by extensively, we mean he made a point of mentioning it on his book and articles) of his history with you on the first time you two met in a Blackburn nightclub, your silly spat in 2007, and your “sorting out your issues” (read: hatesex) over drinks in the dressing room.

Someone explain this repressed sexual tension between the two - it’s killing us. Was Jimmy a painful yet unforgettable fling back in Lancashire?

ETA: An excerpt from a fic

It was a stormy year when Michael came into Jimmy’s life. He was a difficult twenty-year old and the Englishman an awkward teenager; the setting a miserable dwelling in the heart of Blackburn, the sounds a hodgepodge of two-step garage and drum ‘n’ bass. With little to do in Lancashire and plenty of rain to see out, the two oddly found each other’s company. They were nothing more than drunken inexperienced encounters and the advance of texting – an innovation surely made for doormats – had made it easier for Michael to find himself climbing up Jimmy’s window whenever he fancied it.

(He always made sure to not wake Jimmy’s devout Catholic parents, though there were definitely more than a couple of close calls).

When the time came for Michael to return, the end was as swift as it started. Jimmy had turned eighteen a week before, and so Michael punched in his Australian number in the new colour phone Jimmy received for his birthday. (“If you’re ever in town,” he says then boards his flight). At a time where international cricket was still a distant dream, both agreed that they were never to see each other again.

Cricfam London meet-up

As you may know both @jiminyneesham and I are both traveling (on separate trips) around the U.K. and France soon and are both going to be in London next month!

Hannah floated the idea of a Cricfam meet up awhile ago but as the time draws closer, it’s probably time to do some planning!

So we’re looking at the evening of SATURDAY 12 OCTOBER, just a mere month away!

I’m relatively familiar with London however it has also been 10 years since I was last there so what I’m asking of my lovely English folks is some suggestions for places to meet. I’m thinking maybe a pub because that is easy for groups and for people that can only drop in for a short time. So any suggestions?!
