Why am I so emotional over a television show? It’s a question I’ve been asking myself over and over, but it’s NOT just a television show to me. I’ve been in the Once Upon a Time fandom since the pilot and there have been quite a few episodes there that have made me emotional, but nothing like The Walking Dead episodes have been in the past... and this premiere.
I’ve never in my life been to a convention before. Last June was my first one at Walker Stalker Con where I met Steven. I went to the Fan Fest benefit for Pulse a little while back where I met Michael. I’ve met several actors from the show and they are all kind and loving people to their fans. I don’t know how to process this episode... like, I’m thrilled the show is back and all, but these two deaths hit me at a personal level because of how the actors themselves have treated ME. I will never forget the time Steven complimented my Maggie cosplay and despite being in a rushed photo op, he wanted to have the chance to talk to me. I will never forget the time Michael talked to me like I was a close friend of his, took my phone and took crazy selfies of us, and made me laugh.
This episode was emotional in so many ways. I’m angry. I’m depressed. I’m devastated. To be honest, regardless of who got killed off tonight, I would feel this way. The fans of this show are family... the cast love the show just as much as the fans... we’re ALL a family. This was a painful episode to get through.
