“i don’t care about PRESENTS – i care that you’re okay.” and she meant it, even though harper was almost positive that her daughter was going to give her an aneurysm one day. she wasn’t sure how she raised such a wild child, the blonde seeing images of her BEST FRIEND in this one’s eyes. she smiled, brushing a stray piece of hair away from zoe’s face. “what happened? your brother didn’t say much.” something about snitches get stitches – he didn’t seem very pleased to keep quiet.
“ i’m fine, mom. ” aside from the fact she was on concussion watch and probably wouldn’t be able to walk on her right foot for some time. still, she smiled sweetly, reaching up to take her mother’s hand from where it had just smoothed over her hair. “ i was exploring and climbed too high. ” she looked sheepishly down at her lap. “i fell.” of course she wasn’t about to say where she’d been, or that it was incredibly off limits.
