I was on TikTok and I came cross a video of how black!female readers are stereotyped too much and I agree. Is it me or I just find it very annoying of how some tumble or Wattpad creators represent us black woman!readers? If you like it, then that’s okay. I’m just saying my opinion. Everytime I read a fic and the reader is black all we get is either the toxic characters or the main 4 like: Gojo, Toji, Eren, Sukuna. ALSO why do we have to become baby mama’s?? Or Gojo’s and Toji’s baby mama’s? The amount of baby mama fics are ridiculous. They use such stereotypes for the black reader. And they always call the reader “Ma” every five seconds, it’s okay if you like it, I just find it generally annoying. They be writing bs such as “I put my braids in a bun then next I grabbed my bonnet”Or giving us the straight blonde hair? The ONLY hairstyle we have is either braids or a silk press. Why do we always have to be so ghetto and stereotyped? The “x black readers” need to be studied. Mostly tumblr creators who write x black readers fics. Are so stereotypical. There are good ones but most fics about “x black female reader” are sexualising, stereotyping black girl too girls much. Like cmon we can do better than that.

I tend to avoid most “x black female reader” fics for this exact reason. No I don’t want plug!character, or baby daddy!character, or the character to act like hood/toxic future-type stereotypes. I also feel I mostly see them saying reader is wearing a lace front, not even a silk press. As if we can’t wear twists, Afro puffs, or any other natural style. And those writers get so mad when someone makes a call out post like this saying no one complains when white fanfic writers make the character a mafia or yakuza boss. I don’t really read those fics anymore, but when I did, they didn’t make the male character talk in a stereotypical way, they talked like they normally would in the media they came from.

ooo interesting okay. but surely that announcement came after the news of vini not winning came out and rma would probably not want to share that news themselves so it’s logical they would freely give it out to a big journalist. (idk if that makes sense 😭)

i heavily agree with the media pressure angle though because although the situations differ, they were the same ones that were pumping out information about mbappé far before his move to rma. this then caused a lot of psg fans to turn on him and i fear the same tactics are being used on trent :(

Once you start seeing how often women are used as shock absorbers in our society, you'll never stop seeing it. It happens in every way, emotionally, physically and sexually.

Just think, how many men come home and take shit out on their wife? How many men with violent tendencies take it out on prostituted women? how girls are put in classes with rowdy boys at the expense of their own studies, how many women are in the service industry, at call centers, how high the domestic violence rates of police officers is, how many women bend over backwards to take on the emotional needs of men, the list goes on and on

When I was a kid here in Sweden there was even a specific word for girls who were placed next to a messy boy: kuddflicka (translates to "pillow girl"). It was used as a compliment by my teachers, some sort of badge of honor they gave us when we had to put up with sitting next to the worst boys.

this is also making me think about how common it is in fanfiction for the male main character to ‘take his anger out’ sexually on the female reader. so scary that this has been normalised.

I agree so much with you. so happy kylian & jude didn’t post anything regarding the situation

for real girl. i was getting major second hand embrassment from some players’ posts (like i love marta but wth was that girl? 💀).

our kyky and jude kept it classy. can’t help but feel a bit bad for them though, they both did well in the standings. jude was on the podium at 20 which is massive and although it wasn’t kylian’s highest finish, he still did well! yet they had to stay home bc florentino was pissed about the vini situation :(

is anyone else kind of pissed for jude about this ballon d’or? until vini’s return from injury he was the clear favourite that rma were pushing to win it, then vini has a few good games and jude is pushed to the sidelines.

not to mention jude showed up for club AND country. it was his first season at a formidable club and he had one of the best midfield campaigns of the season not to mention he did all this at age TWENTY.

if rma had stuck to their guns of promoting jude, he probably could’ve won the thing. regardless, their lack of sportsmanship is so unclassy and madridistas are delusional for saying vini was “robbed”.
