Machines and Men

We were born, seeking for purpose and learning new things bit by bit. We become mature and we see things differently. We grow and we get enlightened. Have you ever questioned your purpose? o have you ever questioned your existence? We are like machines, doing its thing until were fragile,weak and decaying. As much as were here on earth, we must enjoy our life, serve our purpose and we should make sure that we will not regret anything.  We wander and we will discover new things as we grow old. We will feel different kinds of emotions, and we will be troubled by different situation. but come to think of it, the pain,suffering,joy, shame, anger, disgust, fear and sadness can  make us feel alive. We must live looking forward, no turning back. All mistakes and pain from the past are just lessons, they are not a lifetime sentence. We should make our life meaningful. Don’t be afraid to try new things, experience and meamories are surely the things you will treasure until the end.

No one knows when your life will end. Everything has its limit and death is inevitable. No one can escape it. Given that death is something that everyone will encounter, we should think how we can make our lives significant. Our final hours is yet to come. Death is mysterious, that’s why it is interesting. Death is something we should not be afraid of. I believe that there is life in death. Our death is not the end, it is just the start of everything,  Kyla Marie Mallari ABM 11- Integrity Group 5

Metamorphosis

Change is inevitable. In our society, every small changes can make a huge difference. Looking back in our history, during the medieval times, people were wrongly taught by the church, they have no own principle to believe in. People just absorb everything. And now, because of the opposition of few courageous people, peasants and wronged people had an opportunity to get enlightened and to be free from the dominance of the church leaders during that time. 

I realized that the changes in our environment also affects the society. As of today, the technology is ruling over the interest and needs of the people but every good things has its negative effect when it is abused. Society became more civilized unlike in the past, everything has to be done manually. These advancement are continuously evolving for a better future. 

Sometimes, things change for the better. Our history is our pattern to foresee the future. Now, we are free to voice out our opinion, we are allowed to make actions to change the things we see that seems wrong, and we have the freedom to think and to believe in everything we want. Human Eyes

We, people, are observant of our surroundings, our eyes are the witness of different things. Sometimes we notice every small unnecessary details in things or situation. By giving a thought about every single thing and every single phenomena that happens in the world, we can infer that everything is calculated, like everything was meant to happen. Everything is related to each other and they exist because they need to.  Sometimes we  all experience the same problem, but we don’t think of the same solution. Things may be similar but people look at it in different way, in different perspective. People are just like books, they are all the same but they have different content. Sometimes, people thinks that I am a highly emotional person. For me, you can’t just simply call a person emotional or overacting just because they are like that. People have different level of sensitivity and we have to understand it. The jokes for you might be offensive and not funny to others.

People might have similar experiences, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that they think the same way. People have similarities and differences. We must respect our distinction among other people and we must embrace it. Just like in our government nowadays, we are under the same law, constitution and administration, yet there are people who thinks that the happenings in our country is a sign of hope meanwhile there are people who thinks that these happenings will lead to a detrimental downfall of our country. Given the situation, you can’t push someone to believe in your belief. We must respect each other’s opinion and way of thinking.  Kyla Marie O. Mallari

Blameless

Life is a matter of decisions. All of the bad things and good things that we experience are a product of the choices we made. Sometimes, life will challenge us with the things that surrounds us. There are times where you can feel your world falling apart, you lost your friends, you have no money, you keep failing at everything you do and you have poor relationships with other people, while the sadness and loneliness is just swallowing you whole.  Your emotions will sometimes lead you into wrong choices. When everything went wrong, instead of seeking help from my friends, I chose to be with bad people where I learned bad things. I tried a lot of things that I was not supposed to. I enjoyed my life thinking I was free, but little did I know that all of that happiness won’t last long. I felt temporary joy from my impulsive choice. It will give you happiness and peace at first, but later it will give you pure pain and misery. Nonetheless, I never regret experiencing those things, I considered them as my life lessons. Those bad decisions led me to where I am today. Without pain, without sadness and without loneliness you won’t appreciate all the things you have today. Sometimes God breaks us so we can fully accept his grace, ”The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18, NIV). Sunrise

I think we all adored, the beauty of the mountains and forest, the bright stars at night and the touch of the fresh wind as it reaches our skin. I guess we all wondered what’s more under our deep oceans, how many rich Island exists and how many caves were hidden. There are so many beautiful things in our environment that we do not know, yet we can’t appreciate it. We are blessed to see the beauty in our environment but we are too selfish not to care about the it. We are all dependent to the environment, it is the main source of everything we have today, our foods, drinks and shelter. The environment provides us with everything we need, that’s why it is necessary to give back all the care and provision it gave us. The environment and the humans has always been in a mutual relationship. The environment plays a very important role in our lives, right now we must see the importance and relevance of it in our everyday life.  The environment is now slowly losing it’s beauty, and it’s becoming a nuisance to us because of our selfish actions. Let’s not wait for the next sunrise, that our kids and  the future generation will lost the opportunity to see and experience how magnificent and how wonderful it is to live a life in such a beautiful environment. We all have a responsibility to fight and to serve the environment. It is our role to maintain and encourage others to love the environment, the same way we love ourselves. Kingdom come

There are times in our life where we wonder and asks ourselves. Why do I exist? What is my purpose in life? What will happen to me after I die? These questions are lingering around our minds, desperately seeking for answers. As I grow up, I realized that the things I’m always curious about, is being answered by the world with subtlety. The world we live is uncertain, you don’t have to be sure but you just need to believe. We need faith in order to go beyond our limits.

I have a faith that the Lord has a bigger plan in my life. I may not see him but I can feel his presence. Whenever I’m down and frustrated, the fact that there is one God that cares for me relieves all the negativity. I’m still winning my battle over flesh, I’m still learning and still growing spiritually. I was lost, thinking that I can survive on my own but  Jesus set me free from my sins. I obey the word of God not because a church told me to, not because my parents told me to, but because of God’s bountiful grace. We can achieve transcendence through our faith in God, through our faith that we are more than just an intellectual being. Our death is just the start of everything. As mentioned in the book of John, Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)

Naked

The world is full of mysteries, and we, people, we ought to uncover the truth it hides. In a place we live, pretending is the new trend. Wherever we go, there are lots of people who wears fake smiles and being fake happy. It is saddening that nowadays, people likes to cover themselves with layers, isn’t it easier to be a naked soul? transparent to people and genuine in every way. No pressure and insecurities. 

We live in a life full of lies, where truth is irrelevant. Lies are just blinding that it becomes harder to distinguish with the truth. Well, people has different principles and different belief, simply, people live in different reality, however, reality is not necessarily subjective. The truth is unchangeable, even if no one believes it and even if you deny it. Facts are always facts. 

Sometimes, we built up a world of magic because our real life is tragic. We ran away from the gaze of reality and we were fooled by the joy that lies gives us. We were locked inside a wrong mentality. We should not live in a place we created and call it our own reality. Truth gets so ruthless and it makes us selfish. In other hand, truth is painful but it provides us the things we need to hear. We don’t need to sugar- coat the truth because no matter how hard we try to say it, still it will hurt. We must learn how to face the reality because that’s how life works.

For the fickle

My life is always simple yet dynamic. Ever since I was young, I’m always full of questions because I’ve always been curious about things. At such a young age, we were taught to appreciate every little thing, that’s why I always appreciate every person who clings to me despite my weirdness. Just like any teenager, I also experienced to have an exchange of conversation with someone that can almost reach a cringe- inducing level of cheesiness.Yes, I also experienced to fall in love, but later on you will realize, not all people you love will stay.

All my life has been about waiting for people to go. Life always leaves me hanging, wondering where I left off to begin again. Sometimes, love makes people foolish. You chose to let go of the person but your heart still wants to keep him. All these pain, disappointment and loneliness made me broken. I’m just a lonely soul, but these feelings also became my inspiration to pick up all my broken pieces together.

Pain taught me to become independent. I don’t need a half to be whole, I am the whole that anyone can’t take from. I got a beautiful mind, I’m young and brave enough to pick my fights. Life is not what it seems, there are things that is more complicated that you thought. Let the saltwater give us a brand new eyes and continue the progress we’ve made. We are still in the process of becoming a better person. We will keep making mistakes and we will always learn from it. The journey is long and I will make sure that I will finish strong.
