the reason why everyone is bored with twitter rp events is because all the rps are plotless and there's not much you can built off

back to the events in twitter rp subject, do you or anyone reading have ideas on how to make them fun and interactive?

* posting this in the tags so people can send their suggestions * for me , an active gossip account is extremely helpful . hosting a game , posting headcanons , posting anons with updates on the event , a playlist thread during the event . a lot of the time people plot for these events , but it can feel pointless because … what does it do ? yeah , it helps with personal plots for their muse , but having that extra gossip can make the timeline fun , especially in plotless roleplays that are meant to survive on those little plot drops between muses

comparing a black fc to Ronald McDonald when the design of American clowns are rooted in racism is bad even if it wasn't intended that way. American clowns mainly come from racist blackface minstrel shows. the comment was made during black history month to make matters worse.

people had every right to be uncomfortable, so no I don't think it's fair to say it was blown out of proportion at all. some of you do not think before you speak especially considering it caused the muse the comment was said to to leave.

Yes, the joke was made because the character had on red and yellow, but comparing a black fc with an afro to a clown isn't funny. An insensitive joke can still be racist. And giving opinions on black topics/discomfort while not black only minimizes issues and allows these patterns to continue. That's why it's frustrating, jokes and comments like these happen too frequently towards black characters for it to be considered "blown out of proportion" especially when all that happened was a character getting removed due to ignorance. They're able to learn from that.

posting these together since they cover the same situation . but i agree , people had every right to feel uncomfortable and it’s not being blown out of proportion . not intending to cause harm doesn’t mean you won’t cause harm . the mun understood and willingly left , so i hope everyone affected is okay and comfortable <3

that rising incident was blown out of proportion imo. the person in the photo had on red and yellow and it was obvious why they made the joke. i’m more concerned with why minds immediately went to racism

90% of twitter events no matter the context are just an opportunity for everyone to mass post selfies and compliment each other they really don't add much to the rping experience anymore

the selfies is my least favorite part of events fkjfkfjdmdjdm i have to log off for like an hour .. anyway i miss fun games or plot drops during events
