THE BLOG HAS MOVED HERE.
ooc; impending move!
ooc; tl;dr -- I THOUGHT something weird was going on with Serra-blog and didnât connect the dots until I saw Sev-munâs post. I donât trust Tumblr to change a lightbulb, let alone fix its site, so Iâm going to bite the bullet, save myself future trouble and remake this blog before it gets much further in.
I will reblog content over (with non-interactions on queue) because itâs like... 25 posts.
I will keep the url; this one will be altered.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

@blazingxlord replied to your post:
//Also an arena abusing butt o/ ... But this never occured to me. As soon as I got Serra and Oswin to A support (shh don't judge), I benched Serra and used Priscilla as my main healer. I can imagine the arena participants lining up to Priscilla for healing bec they didn't want to deal with Serra. And Oswin is the only one who went to Serra for healing bec he felt sorry for her
ooc; how dare you make me feel an emotion
calling shotgun â ares
@nordionknight
The cellar was dusty and dark; there no light save that which spilled into the room from the sliver of space between the  door--locked--and the floor. Her stave, resting idle against the wall, gave off no glow. Serra didnât know how long she had been there, how long any of them had been there, but her eyes had long since adjusted to the inky blackness. Tired, worn, listless faces surrounded her, some having braved captivity long before she arrived.
There was silence. Then there was fighting. Then the door rattled.
Startled, the cleric grabbed her stave and held it out before her. What was she going to do? Heal whoever it was to death? She held it like a bludgeon. âChildren, get behind me,â she hissed, eyes hard in the cool light of the stave. The little ones filled in behind her small form, but the others stayed where they were, resigned. If the men in dark robes came for another one of them, no one was going to put up a fight.
Lord Hector!! Did you miss me? I know it can be difficult to get by when I'm not around, but I'm sure you managed somehow. Well anyway, Ostia is again blessed with my charm, so you may put away your grief! Isn't that great?
Hector immediately missed the silence that made its way into Castle Ostiaâs halls during Serraâs absence. He really couldnât stop the small grimace that made its way onto his face.
âYeah, sure,â Hector responded.
âI kinda liked it better when you werenât hereâŠâ He mumbled that bit under his breath and hoped she didnât hear it, only to prevent the yelling that would follow if she did.
wolfxbeil:
Hector had to resist a wince at her sudden yelling. He really shouldâve expected that. It happened enough in the past- Serra would say something, Hector would give some remark, and an argument would happen. It definitely wasnât something new.Â
âGah- Iâm sorry, geez!â He exclaimed.Â
The marquess decided that it was way too early to deal with this, and he was going to try not to make her mad again for the sake of his own sanity.
âReeeeally?â She squinted, tilting her head to give Hector a skeptical, questioning look from behind her bangs. Suddenly, one gloved hand was planted on her hip as she jabbed a finger at his chest. âI donât think I believe you, Lord Hector!â
âBut despite the grievous injury, I am willing to accept any tokens of your apology.â She pouted, falling back a step as she crossed her arms over her chest with an expectant expression. âOrdinarily, I would expect gems or vassals, but I suppose I can make an exception for you. A shoulder massage would do.â
TIL Serra has the slowest building supports in fe7 because no one wants to stand next to her and I just T_T
ooc; THAT IS SO FITTING THROUGHângl anon, Iâm a filthy arena-abusing butt, and seeing as Serra is one of your first healers, Iâve never had an issue with her building her supportsâŠÂ
But like. In that context, could you imagine everyone going into the arena and trying EXTRA HARD not to get hit because they donât want to have to deal with Serra (who is absolutely cheering in the crowd) after their match if they get hurt⊠lmao
15 and 13?

13. What gets them flustered
Genuine, unprompted compliments. You can almost start to see a hint of it in her supports with Florina--at the start, itâs alright. Florinaâs a shy bean and OF COURSE sheâd look up to Serra, right? She certainly thought so. It seemed natural. But then Florina didnât need her anymore. She didnât need to stick around to still be Serraâs friend. She could find better friends.Â
And yet Florina stays, even telling her that sheâs glad they became friends, and Serraâs brain just sort of blanks for a split second while she blurts out an uncoordinated reply. Sheâd go red, unsure of what to do with a compliment when offered one. Sheâs unused to it. It feels good, but sheâs left startled like a deer in the headlights.
15. What it takes to make them cry
It takes very little! Certain topics just destroy her (those deeper things that she runs away from). Confronting her past took her from a 10 to a -43 in a split second when Hector just pushed a little too hard, a little too fast. Same with Lucius. Sheâs very much Not OK with talking about any of it yet, and she gets overwhelmed.
Unrelated, but Serra definitely Angry-Cries, and itâs very much something she hates about herself. She hates it most when people freak out and ask her whatâs wrong because she doesnât know. She doesnât get why sheâs crying because it doesnât make any goddamned sense, and sheâs absolutely livid but she canât seem to stop the tears, and then her anger seems less credible and more hysterical. And then she gets even more upset. Itâs a vicious loop.

waywardthief:
Matthew couldnât help squirming just the slightest little bit. Heâd never much been one for contact or even close proximity (⊠and that was putting it lightly), but in this case, that was almost the least of his concerns. A near desperate mantra played in his head: this was for work. Work was most important. It would be worth it at the end of the day. Surely. Because This was for Work.
âNghhhâŠâ It was a feeble groan of protest, the most he dared. He willed himself still in spite of how he suffered beneath her touch. It wasnât her fault, specifically, though the tedium of sitting here for what felt like an eternity was of little help. That, alongside her nagging⊠Saint, grant him mercy, grant him reprieveâŠ
At her comment on his features, he fluttered his lashes and, upon eventually being released, was quick to affect a pout, puckered lips and all. It was too bad she hadnât kept it just at his eyes, though. The second half of her âcomplimentâ drew from his immaculately painted features a perfect scowl. âYou wound me.â
Crossing his arms over his lightly padded chest, gloved fingers restlessly drumming along his biceps, he gave the mirror a look and had the hardest of times not falling out of his chair in pure shock. âYipes, womanâŠâ Cringing, he ground his teeth and sank in his chair. Not that heâd ever admit it but⊠sheâd done a pretty good job. He leaned in a bit closer then, tilting his head this way and that, looking for the angles heâd be better to play. HmmâŠ
âYou tell me - youâre the expert on all things ladylike and high society,â he purred, taking his hand before him, flipping it over, and making a show of taking a very specific interest in his nails, covered though they were. Next, he turned his attention toward smoothing a few wrinkles out of his skirt. âCanât believe women spend so much time on this stuff on a regular basisâŠâ This last bit was but muttered, along with an amazed shake of his head. They were almost ready to go, at least.
âHmmm....â She pursed her lips, looking at him critically. He was nearly unrecognizable, but Serra knew him with a particular intimacy that came with prolonged partnership on the battlefield. She could tell it was him from twenty paces no matter how much lace or powder he was buried under. Satisfied, the girl gave a rare nod of approval, and climbed off his lap to put away her precious make-up caddy.
âWell, I think you look splendid--and there was no doubt that you should! I mean, this is my handiwork, after all. Did you honestly believe that I would let you leave this room looking sub-par? Donât be silly.â With a scoff, she tucked the case into her bag with the scant belongings she had packed for their mission. As a cleric of St. Elimine, she was scarcely assigned to tasks involving such subterfuge and deception, but Serra was nothing if not obliging and would take one for the team.Â
âOf course, we could stand to do up your hair a little better, but you cannot be cuter than me if I am to convince our audience than I am your Lady, obviously. No, you shall have to do as is.â Her pack was left in one corner of the room, swapped for a handbag covered in ornate embroidery. She remembered picking this gem up in a Etrurian market--cost a pretty penny or a gold piece or two, but it had been her favourite.Â
Serra shouldered the bag and stood straight, looking over at the sullen spy-turned-handmaiden. âNow, be a dear and put on your shoes, Matthew--we canât keep the ladies waiting.â
20. What if Serra was in a Japanese high school setting (or whatever country you're familiar with)
ooc; HC Meme
20. What-ifs/Alternate Timelines
Modern AU: Someone correct me if Iâm wrong, but as far as I know, there generally isnât a very pervasive adoption/fostering culture in Japan, though that is slowly changing as of recently. In Serraâs case, she would have been left at a facility as a child and probably stayed in the system until she finished highschool. It would have been stressful--the stigma runs deep in a society with such heavy emphasis on familial ties and obligations.
She lived with the church-funded childrenâs home, and went to a public school, and eventually a church-run one. As a student, Serra is loud and flamboyant. Not the best in her class by far (especially not without support at âhomeâ and a lack of self-confidence) but average and tries hard. She has few friends, but is very much part of the social scene there. People warn their daughters not to be like her.
She tries out for various clubs, never staying in one for very long, but actually works part-time in the nurseâs office for pocket money. After school, she just sort of disappears from the school grounds; for someone whoâs so overtly âout thereâ during the day, people do wonder where she runs off to. In reality, Serra sneaks on âhomeâ without anyone spotting her because she doesnât want them to know where she lives. That her parents left her all those years ago.
one of us â matthew
âAH! Matthew!â
The little safe-house in Araphen was practically a glorified closet, and Serra was literally straddling the man making preparations for the job. It was a task requiring the utmost tact, and Serra was keen on making him perfect. âDo you WANT me to smudge your lip colour? It took long enough not to get the foundation just right, and I am not going to do that all over again!â
âNo vassal of mine is going to look shabby, even the temporary ones!â And with that declaration, she took him by the chin again, and, her tongue poking out from between her own painted lips, began to painstakingly outline and fill in his thin lips in rouge. âIt brings out your eyes, Matthew. You should consider working this into your everyday look. I know how partial you are to that âdirty commonerâ look though.â
There. Absolutely perfect just like the kohl of his eyes and the fall of his wig. She brought up the hand mirror in front of him. âShould I try to shape your cheeks some more? Thereâs really only so much cosmetics can do though.â
"Saint Elimine, are you THE Serra? Please give me your autograph." You can imagine some nuns, somewhere in Etruria, spoke of Serra. Dorothy doesn't care, she offers a shaky piece of paper and a pen.
âBy the Saint!â The girl came out of nowhere--or perhaps right in front of her, but the girl hadnât caught her eye (and honestly, Serra didnât think twice the first she glanced at her)--and she gasped, a gloved hand pressed to her mouth in marvel. A devotee? âNormally, I wouldnât, you know. I canât just grant favours to anyone who stumbles upon me.â
She took the paper (crumpled a little now in the girlâs shaking hand) anyway, scrawling out her name in loops and flourishes. âBut let it not be said that I am not a generous soul.â Serra handed it back.

5. Guilty pleasures
Something more innocuous--sleeping in. At the orphanage, one got up early because it was difficult to sleep. Too many children packed into too little a space. The rooms were poorly insulated for the winter. You went to bed still hungry. Someone cried in the dead of the night, and you couldnât get back to sleep... And then in the abbey, well, good fucking luck with that one, the nuns would have none of that foolishness, my friend.
So when she can, she likes to sleep in, especially on rainy days when she can wake, listen to the rain, and then go back to sleep all cozy and warm.
6. Their vices (physical or emotional)
In another character meme--which I will fill out some day--it asks what mortal sin your muse is most associated with, and Serra is gluttony hands down. Serra takes. And takes. And takes. And sheâs not particularly good at giving back, or giving at all. She hungers for material excess. She hoards trinkets and little things and hangs onto useless bits and pieces. She clings to people. Sheâs touch-starved, craves attention, and wants more, always more.

2. Their emotional/moral weak spots
MOAR. Serra has absolutely no qualms about asking for exorbitant gifts and making outrageous demands. She doesnât know how to ask for smaller things or favours though, especially not if she actually wants it. What if the other person says no? Theyâre going to say no. She knows theyâre going to say no, what reason do they have to say yes, they donât even like her, she canât ask no, she canât possiblyâ She ends up not asking.
5. Guilty pleasures
Nice (expensive) things. Sure, sheâll put a little bit of it away, but if she has the money for it, sheâll splurge it. Impulse buys. Maybe something shiny. A nice dress of fine fabric. A neat knick-knack that catches her eye, a fancy meal. She figures sheâd treat herself while she can because she doesnât know when sheâll find herself in a position where the means are taken from her.
Serra lives in the present and enjoy what she has without reserve.
17. Regrets
She regrets some of the things that comes out of her mouth the moment it leaves her tongue. She shouldnât have pushed Lucius away when they met. She shouldnât have mouthed off Oswin. But sheâs a vain little creature and her pride wonât let her take it back even if she feels bad about it. Sheâll just try a little harder to be just a little nicer next time and hope it makes up for it.
18! (...7 is also tempting, if ya wanna~)
ooc; HC Meme
18. Things theyâll never admit
She doubts her claim to nobility. I mean, of course she does--itâs a far-fetched assertion, and for all her vices, Serra isnât an idiot. The claim is flimsy at best and completely outrageous to basically any rational human being EVER. But she isnât going to admit to that, ever--because admitting it, giving voice to it, gives it life. Makes it tangible.Â
Doubt gives way to the realization that maybe she isnât secretly a noblewoman, that sheâs a common nobody, and she canât have that.
(Probably a good thing that sheâll never interact with Pent because whoooo boy, can he give an answer to that one.)
7. Their tickle spots
NO, SCRATCH THAT, SERRA WOULD SOONER DIE THAN DISCLOSE HER TICKLE SPOTS.
(Her ribs & sides, her navel, the arches of her feet, and the junction of the thigh & hip. She would scream and hit you with her staff. But itâd be your fault.)
14, 22
ooc; HC Meme
14. Ingrained habits/forces of habit
If there is extra food left over after a meal, sheâll ferret some of it away with her to her room when she leaves. She never takes anything MUCH, not enough for it to be missed or for anyone to ever really notice. Just a little bit of something extra on the side, just in case. ...Just in case.
Sometimes sheâll have it later just to not waste anything; other times when sheâs really not hungry or if itâs sat out for too long, Serra will slip away to the kennels at night and treat the hounds, or maybe just the raccoons.
22. People whoâve influenced them greatly
The Saint. She is a source of inspiration and a powerful motivation and role model--but I guess thatâs sort of a cheap answer. So.
Uther. He didnât have to take her on, really. How Serra ended up working for House Ostia is a mystery; given what sheâs like, itâs some wonder that anyone would employ her at all. Even if she behaved herself, she is often tolerable at best. I suspect Uther might have taken a gamble and gave her a chance; I donât know if @wolfxbeil thinks Hector would have done the same in his brotherâs position, haha. Either way, it happened that Serra was taken up as a cleric of House Ostia, and ventured out into Elibe at large.
