I’m watching Mrs Doubtfire on the couch and as a child I watched that movie so much that I know the script word for word and the music by heart. Yet as it was heading towards the ending I keep thinking… what if Mrs Doubtfire cancels on the dinner and things don’t end that way? My childhood brain keeps hoping. 🥲

And may I say that Sally Field was so charming in this movie. I couldn’t understand her as a child. I felt like the child stuck in a divorced parents situation. Like they saw the initiator as the “bad guy” who didn’t want to keep the family together anymore. I don’t feel that way at all anymore.
