~ a/n: i honestly should write for more people, but i have like zero self control
You don’t even bat an eyelash when the hand slams against the lockers near your head. You raise your chin, looking severely unimpressed with the smirking boy looming over you.
“God, you are such a fucking cliche.” you drawl. You spare him a single glance, before examining your nails as if they held something of more interest than the specimen in front of you. This only serves to amuse him further.
“My, and you’re still a frigid bitch as usual.” Your eyes narrow as they turn to him, and his smirk only grows at your glower. “Still being so mean to me today of all days.”
You bark out a laugh at that. “I heard you with everyone else today. You don’t need me to raise your ego up anymore.”
He lower lip juts out into a pout, and your stomach twists in irritation when you realize how maddeningly adorable it is. “Ah, but maybe I just want the satisfaction of you being nice to me.”
You snort at that, and he reaches up to bop you on the nose.
“You’re so freaking annoying.” you groan, scrunching up your nose and lightly pushing at his chest. He doesn’t sway an inch. He doesn’t move your hand away either.
His hand that’s not currently holding you captive rises to rest on top of yours. You freeze for a moment, feeling the steady (if a bit faster than normal) beating of his heart against your palm. You shake off the hazy feeling, hand twitching to pull away. His hands holds yours there, steadfast.
“Are you mad, queenie?” His head dips lower. The movement causes his bangs to fall into his eyes, and your fingers itch to reach up brush back the offending strands. “You gonna do something about it?”
You grit your teeth in annoyance. The only thought running through your head is how you could possibly wipe that arrogant smirk off his face.
Well, that thought and a few others.
Your eyes drink in the way his lips curl upwards at the corner. The tiniest dimples dipping into his cheek. The way his eyes crinkles at the corner as his smile slowly grows. The way that the hand he had above your head had fallen near your ear. The way he slowly twirls a small strand of your hair between his fingers.
Maybe you can stand to be nice to him for one day.
With a soft huff of frustration, you let go of that careful control you had worked so hard for. You take a split second to relish in the way his gorgeous eyes widen when you grab a handful of his tie. You other hand comes up to grip his collar in your fist. You pull him into you, and he makes a small noise of surprise.
There’s a grin threatening the corner of your mouth as your lips meet his and he freezes above you. But the brief hesitation on his part is soon overcome as he surges into the kiss. His hand drop from his stupid kabedon position to cradle your jaw as his other hand snakes around you waist. Your own hand rises to knot into the hair that had been tempting you for far too long, and you take no small amount of pleasure in running your fingers through the soft, dark strands.
You let out a small hum against his mouth before pulling away. His lips chase yours, and you can’t help the light laugh that escapes as you manage to pull back from it.
“Looks like I’ve finally found the way to get you to shut up.” you joke. You slowly untangle your hands from his hair, sliding them down to cup his cheeks between them. You lean up to press your lips against his one last time, quick and soft and sweet, before pulling back once more.
He looks properly debauched when you finally take a moment to look at him. With the hair he always puts such time and effort into a total disarray on his head, and his tie loose, and his collar completely crinkled, and his cheeks flushed a flattering shade of red. You grin.
He looks like someone who had been kissed rather thoroughly.
You press your hands against his collar, smoothing out the lines and folding it back into place before your deft fingers move to straighten his tie, tightening it back into place. You leave his hair though. You like knowing that he was left a mess because of you.
With a small nod of acceptance at his appearance, you step out from his arms. You seem to have rendered the boy a little speechless, and he does nothing as you slowly back out down the hallway.
“Happy birthday, Hoseok.” you call out sweetly, if a bit coy. That seems to break him out of whatever reverie he was in as he only laughs in response.
“Thanks.” he says, grinning. “Best gift I’ve gotten so far.”
You smile back before turning on your heels and disappearing down the hall.

“Hoseok, stop it!”
Silence pierces the room after your exclamation, and Hoseok draws his hands away from you as if he’s been burned. Your chest rises and falls rapidly with your heavy breathing, and frustrated tears begin to prickle at the corner of your eyes. Hoseok looks at you, confused but still concerned and you hate that.

He’s slipping into his jeans silently, and you watch him from your spot in bed. The look on your face is contemplative. The look on his is thunderous.
You always seem to end up here. His saccharine smiles and honey words enough to make you forget about your promises to yourself. You stumble into bed with him despite vows you made for your own future.
