Hello! I was at an annual event called Convergence, and I met someone who I know I’ve seen you post. I admire Lady Amaranth’s photos as well, and I had a thought. I told her about you, and how you are awesome and could use some encouragement. She told me she grew up really isolated from other darklings too, and she was very kind. So I took this photo for you.

Oh goodness… I am at a complete loss for words. Thank you so much Arhythmia! You have no idea how happy this just made me. Just the thought of… wow. Okay, I’m speechless. But in a good way! Just knowing you mentioned that to her and then this photo happened… I’m trying to keep myself composed here. Lady Amaranth is such an inspiration to me. Honestly, thank you so much!

Eventually they DID buy one BUT with counterfeit money.

What I always enjoyed about Morticia and Gomez was how they made no secret that they passionately loved each other. We get so used to seeing depictions (on television especially) of married couples in continual states of contention—belittling one another, falling into the wife/mother-husband/child trope, and generally disrespecting each other, which made me wonder why they even bothered marrying in the first place.

But Gomez and Morticia never lose their desire and respect for each other. Is it because they’re “weird” that it’s acceptable to depict married life so positively? Or are they “strange” because, after three children and a lifetime together, they still adore each other? I know no marriage is perfect, but wouldn’t it be nice if the media portrayed marriage as more than a continuous state of exasperation and anger? Maybe that’s why romance novelists and romance novel readers are so embattled: because we dare to believe in love.

Finally got to shoot one of my favourite jewellery designers!

All fairytails have at least one Grand Ball in their tellings, so we couldn't have a wedding without one! Here is a photo by Taya Uddin of us taken shortly before our the hall became filled with beautiful people dancing to wonderful music - a truly magical evening.
