Supplies
The following supplies are running low at Lakeside and will remain so for the following two weeks until shipments arrive. Please ration accordingly:
Chocolate {STILL}
Aspirin
Scattergun ammo
Cade may or may not have been a little late sending the request list off. Wasn’t the biggest issue on his plate at that moment.
With the new members for both teams, Cade was busy figuring out how he was rationing the supplies.
“Attention. This is the Quartermaster of Lakeside.”
There’s a small moment of hesitation over head as Cade tries to figure out what he wanted to say.
“According to some legality issues and fine print, I am required to give mercenaries here at Lakeside a “once a month” opportunity to make personal requests. The request forms can be found outside my office and submitted to my- Inbox.
“Any questions can be placed on my list and I’ll get to it when I can.
“Deadline for the next month, will be on the 27th.
“Thank you.”

Jack has spent a good portion of his free time trying to find the library of the base. It only took him a few days to realize that there wasn’t one around. It was supposed to be a theme park after all.
He has in his hands a small list of books he wanted here. Some, he noticed were in the small town, but he really didn’t want to have to cross the lake in the boat everytime he wanted to go read.
Most were ones he couldn’t find at a book store or library. A something told Jack that he probably wouldn’t get half if any he put down, but getting at least one would be a lot better then none.
Maybe he could get some sort of daily newspaper delivered, too.
Jack approaches the Quartermaster’s door, looking around to make sure that no one around, especially the big man himself. He never got around to actually introducing himself to him like he was told.
There was too much of everything. Things were going to go bad.
That was not good.
Cade is rushing his way back to his office, to alternate his list order for the next shipment. They were going to have left overs, which in itself wasn’t bad. They just needed to order less perishable items this time.
He spends his trip from the storage area to his office looking at his list, occasionally looking up to make sure he didn’t get lost. He didn’t know his way around here yet and didn’t want to end up in an unfinished part of the base.
Cade didn’t realize that there was someone waiting outside his office until he looked away from his clipboard to unlock his office door.
“I’m busy,” he says to the scout and steps into his office.
Jack’s a bit surprised when he sees the quartermaster arrive. He had wished he hadn’t been around when he turned in his request list. Being teased about his preferred reading list was definitely not something he wanted to hear. Especially not from someone his size. “I have a request,” Jack says, stopping the door from closing behind the quartermaster.
He lets out a long sigh through his nose and he turns around. “Then put it in the inbox. I’m not a delivery boy.” He wasn’t the delivery boy. That was someone else. He made sure the delivery boy did his job.
“So unless you have some other issue, which you can put on the complaint list-” he motions to the trash can. “You can leave.”

ANNOUNCEMENT
We’re sorry to announce that the team’s newest member, Dr. Koch-Carstens, Is nowhere to be found. Hopefully, he will return safely.

ANNOUNCEMENT
kothlakeside:
A crackling buzz flows through lakeside as the mercenaries are enjoying their lunch break. The voice behind the speaker is less energetic than usual.
“Apologies, mercenaries. This is your announcer speaking, and words alone cannot express my regret.” There is a pause and a distant cough, as the announcer had turned away to cough.
“I’ve been a bit… under the weather, recently. I’m feeling… better, now. All will return to normal. “
Another pause, this time silent.
“You are being watched. Enjoy the rest of your stay at Lakeside, Mercenaries.”
“Attention. This is the Quartermaster of Lakeside.”

Cade pins the list to the door of his office.
It was a bit late, having to recount the canned food several times. He kept counting short. Little did he realize that Mann Co thought it was a good idea to hide a crate within a crate.
He looks at it for a moment, before chuckling at the coffee beans. They didn’t have a coffee grinder at the base as far as he knew. And he knew what was here at the base.
“Someone’s going to have a rough morning,” he says still chuckling. Some of the items seemed excessive, but he figures Fink or his assistant would figure something out. It wasn’t his job.
