What happens when your character realizes they're in love...

Here are some things that may happen when your character realizes they are in love with someone. These can be totally obvious or be super subtle. I think that can depend on your character's mannerisms and personality! Have fun writing!

Notice everything. They start to notice things about the other person. Have freak outs when they notice they notice. They notice nervous ticks, small details no one else notices, patterns.

Hyperawareness. They become hyperaware of their own bodies and what they are doing as well as the other person’s body. They are unable to think about anything other than how close the person is. What they smell like.

They may change their behavior. They may become mean, guarded or distant. They may embrace it, try to see how the other person feels. All that matters is nothing is as natural as it had felt like before. They may realize they want to share everything with that person or notice that they have been sharing everything and stop. Inconsistencies may occur where they are normal one day and distant the next while they try to make it appear like everything is the same.

Self-sabotage. Not all characters will do this, sometimes they will. They might think that the relationship will never happen and that it is doomed before it starts. It may cause them to pull away even more, stop hanging out and “protect” themselves but ultimately push the other person away. Silence becomes deafening and everything is a sign of whether the other person feels the same.

Nivrah Bein HaShmashot

nivrah bein hashmashot, or נברא בין השמשות, a Hebrew phrase meaning “created between the suns,” is a term for queer Jewish folks. it refers to the time between the sixth and seventh days of creation, during which g-d created several important things with the connecting theme of not fitting into binaries. nivrah bein hashmashot is an umbrella term for Jewish queerness and queer Jewishness; it can be used by queer Jews of any queer identity and any Jewish denomination! it was first coined here by @magnetothemagnificent, alongside the term ovrim, another umbrella term for queer Jews; for more detail on the thought behind or meaning of either term, check that post out!

color symbolism:

purple: “between”-ness, existing outside of boundaries and norms

dark blue: Jewish faith, culture, tradition, and community

sky blue: optimism, hope, and passion

white: finding joy and euphoria in both queerness and Judaism

spring green: engaging in the act of creation

was going to ask for advice and evidence to defend Patricia Taxxon with because a screenshot of one of her (its? would check bio but heard the blog has been nuked) anti-transmasc-baiting anons got posted to a server I'm in and couldn't find anyone defending her and while typing out a preliminary defense realised that the screenshot poster was the server owner. really don't know if I have the energy to do this, especially since there's another user in the same chat who had bought into and was also spreading Patricia's badjacketing.

Name Generator: As the name says, it helps you build names for your characters. Very useful if you cannot think of names for your characters!

KathySteinemann: The 'archive.pdf' section helps you with synonyms in case you struggle to find the right word for your sentences (also to avoid using redundant words).

Spwickstrom: Similar to the previous one, this one provides grammar tips. Extremely helpful when finding phrases, verbs, conjunctions, adjectives, and so on.
