What If Some People Stood Up?
I’ve seen a few hundred of my friends share videos of a passenger being forcibly removed from a United flight because it was oversold. What I haven’t seen yet–which is why I’m writing about it–is any discussion of all the passengers who remain calmly seated while the man is dragged down the aisle. Every passenger sat still. Some voiced disapproval, but no one moved.
What do we think would have happened if all the other passengers had chosen to act on this man’s behalf instead of sitting still? What if some of them had stood up and walked off the flight instead of allowing one man to be physically removed in this ghastly manner?
i’m doing a protest project about this whole bystander thing. it seriously shocks me. like if everyone stood up in that plane, it would have made a difference in treating the man differently
The biggest mistake I have made in my life is letting people stay in my life far longer than they deserved to.

I don’t hold grudges, it’s not healthy. I’ve made my circle quite small, and I like it that way. For people who I don’t speak to anymore, know this: I don’t lose sleep over not having you in my life, my life is great. I don’t hate you, because hate would only bring me down. But know this, if I’ve cut you out of my life you handed me the scissors

When a toxic person can no longer control you, they will try to control how others see you. This misinformation will feel unfair, but stay above it, trusting that other people will eventually see the truth just like you did.

There’s no need to rush. What’s meant for you always arrives on time.

I get attached easily. Once you start talking to me for a week, a whole day, once we’ve shared secrets and stories with each other, i get attached and i know this is bad. Because once they stop doing it, i feel so left out. I start to over think that, maybe they hate me or i’ve done something or said something that they didn’t like. They say that this is a sign how lonely a person can be. Once someone show their interest to you then you’ll grab it, because you think through that, you’ll be happy. Not thinking that they can leave you one day. I know i should get rid of that feeling. It’s not healthy anymore.
I was at customs today at DFW, and the guy was asking me why I was in Sudan, then he wanted to ask about Saudi, but instead said, “how about Afghanist--, sorry about that.” There was a kid nearby screaming, and the guy felt so embarrassed.
Then I had to go for additional screening lol

I don’t understand how people can be so negative and not understand temporary struggles and hardships.
