I visited South Korea to see my favorite band’s gig. It was my first time visiting the country, but I really enjoyed myself. It was an interesting experience.

I usually travel to countries where I understand the language, but Korea was different. We look quite similar, but the writing systems are very different, so it felt like I was in a parallel world.

I realized how much we rely on written language when we navigate information. We try to read signs, papers, and product labels, but when they don’t make sense, we get lost.

I’ve never seen the movie Lost in Translation, but I imagine it’s about this kind of feeling.
