They are lying in a field of long grass. She feels the great openness of the sky above them, filled with the rushing to and fro of winds. If she were to open her eyes, there would probably be flowers all around them. She’s clad in only a thin cotton chemise, scandalously under-dressed. Solas, at least, is in shirt and trousers, her trim waist accentuated by the contrasting cuts, loose and then tight. She knows this because her hands are on that waist.
Solas is above her, trailing gentle kisses across her cheeks, her eyelids. What will happen, if she opens them? Will this airy dream vanish, replaced by enclosing leaves? But she cannot stand to remain in stasis, and accept what she’s given. Still with great trepidation, she opened her eyes.
There is no change, no vanishing. There is only Solas, silhouetted by the great glory of the sky. Somehow it’s not too bright, which would certainly inform her of it being a dream, if she wasn’t already aware. She slides her fingers up, enjoying the touch of fine linen, the hard lines of rib-bones beneath the skin and the soft flesh that semi-accidentally grazes her palms. Her hands found their way to the sharp planes of Solas’s face, her thumb to the corner of a smile that was bright in its joy, with only a bare edge of sorrow.
“Somniar nehn, Vhenan?” Solas asks, with that mouth. Pulling her down to kiss her was easier than trying to respond.
HC:Solas is always gentle with her. Always careful.
But sometimes, he simply cannot hold himself back.
The thought that he is touching a place even she herself cannot reach—that she lets him have that depth of her—fills him with something too dark and too greedy to name.

Lavellan cries out when he starts moving, slow and deep. As blissful as it feels, they notice a growing tension in him, the strain of keeping his body from taking all that it wants. But as the former Inquisitor starts canting their hips to meet his thrusts, all self-control finally slips from him and his rhythm speeds ups. They hold onto him for dear life and they mindlessly sing “more, please, more” as he fucks them hard, pleasure quickly coiling into a knot in their belly that pulls at the entirety of their being. Their pleas go silent as he devours their mouth again.

After accidentally shaking the DAI tag like a bag of treats and seeing so many lovely people get excited, I figured... well... maybe we should actually do this???😭
If you've ever wanted to contribute to a community Dragon Age: Inquisition zine, that being through art, writing, poetry, comics, fake codex entries, or other creative works etc, this is your chance to help shape what the project could become!
The interest check will remain open until July 20th!
This is not an application yet! No pressure, no portfolio, no "please prove yourself before joining the Inquisition." This is simply a way to gauge interest, gather ideas, and make sure we're building something the community is excited about!

we've got to stop calling vivienne nobility btw bc she is like objectively not. she is in a relationship with a noble and had the empress' patronage. and this does allow her certain privileges and power compared to other mages in the circle, but it is all far more conditional than anything anyone born or married into nobility would have. which is why she joins the inquisition bc celene has cast her off and bastien is dying.
You know, piracy on the high seas on Thedas really becomes a lot more difficult without gunpowder (gaatlok). What are the Rivani pirates like Isabela and the Lords doing, just using really fast ships and then just sending over a boarding party? Commonly using illegal mages? Masquerading as Qunari vessels?
How does that affect trade? The Qunari must have a huge naval advantage, except specifically if ships are fielding a serious contingent of mages.
Ohhh. I love the illegal mages idea! And it fits so well with Isabela's take on mages (that is, that they should be free but also she won't preach about it. She just lives it.)

Please, bestow me with your wisdom. How do you write Solas to capture his way of speaking and his manureisums?
I've been trying to write for him for almost half a year, and I always feel like there is something off with my writing. I'm learning iambic pentameter right now, which helps a lot, but I fear it isn't enough. If you can give me any tips and tricks, I would be incredibly grateful.
