You have your own job now, if you want to spend a part of it on a puppy as long as you take care of it (AKA you will be mopping floors and cleaning carpets if it pees inside), you can get one. But remember, we do live in an apartment, so unless you plan on taking lots of walks, you need to consider the activity level of the dog.
