Evah Fan: Weird View, Weird Few
Join us for a wine reception with the artist on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 6-9 pm.
Evah Fan is an artist and illustrator hand-spinning in Oakland, California.
She's curious.
She mostly paints and illustrates, but also enjoy making zines and art multiples.
Her work has been shown in galleries, publications and shops both near and far. There's a sense of play hiding in the painstaking hairline brush strokes of her work.
The show is open daily, free and open to the public, June 24 — July 24, 2016.
Rachel Austin will be brining her Map Paintings & Watercolors to Land Gallery on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 6pm. Join us for the opening reception.
Art Chantry’s show is up in the gallery through May 22.
Here and There: Map Paintings & Watercolors by Rachel Austin
Rachel Austin lives in Portland, Oregon and spends most of her day painting circles and things that fly. Her work is inspired by crisp moments of beauty, maps and color. Rachel is a full-time, self-taught artist who shows work across the country.
She’ll be showing mixed media map paintings from the Northwest as well as a collection of houseplant paintings in watercolor and gouache.
Join us for a wine reception with the artist on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 6pm.
The show is free and open daily to the public May 27 — June 19, 2016.
Art Chantry: Degenerate Bebop
Art Chantry worked in Seattle for nearly 30 years, during which he produced a body of work that, however unorthodox, rivals some of the best graphic design the world has ever known.
This event is related to the fabulous Design Week Portland. Art will also be speaking at PSU this week.
Opening Night Reception With Art Chantry on April 22, 2016 from 6-9p.
Show runs through May 22, 2016.

Near Mint A print portfolio featuring 30 artists.
Organized by Breanne Trammell & Noah Breuer. Join us for an artists’ reception on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 6pm.
This project considers the practice of publishing, collecting, and trading prints throughout history and the shifting role of the artist, publisher, and print shop within that history.
In the late 19th century, offset lithography enabled the average consumer to collect mass produced trade cards depicting a wide variety of popular culture subject matter. Artists have made double-sided prints which have been collated into archival sleeves and three-ring box binder. Thematically associated with commercial trade cards or collectible ephemera, this portfolio references a method of pop-culture consumption that has become obsolete: the accumulation of popular printed matter as a source of data, self-identification, and social currency.
The binder also connects this outdated hobby to the contemporary art world as the success of the project rests on an artist-defined economy that subverts the commercial art market—artists trading their work with one another.
The show is open daily, free to the public April 1—10, 2016.
This show features the work of:
Ben Beres, Noah Breuer, Christi Birchfield, Grayson Cox, Endless Editions (Chris Gideon & Abraham Mascoro Morales), Elizabeth Ferrill, Eric Guerrero, Anna Haglin, Jenny Harp, Cassandra Hooper, Case Hudson, Anita Jung, Michael Krueger, Rachel Livedalen, Zophia McDougal, Martin Mazorra, Jarrett Mitchell, Benjamin Moreau, Mike Neff, Kristina Paabus, Nancy Palmeri, Kyle Peets, Ricardo Ruiz, Jason Sturgill, Seth Scantlen, Ryann Slauson, Brian Shure, Breanne Trammell, Syd Webb, Paul Windle
We’re doing a fun pop-up shop with our friends at Badge Bomb during their first-ever “Makes” event on March 11th and 12th.
Everyone’s favorite pug-illustraor Gemma Correll will be visiting, having a small art show and launching a new line of enamel pins and patches.
Gemma will also be giving hosting two drawing workshops on Saturday.
The art show and pop-up is free and open to the public.
For more information on the events and to sign-up for the workshops ($30), visit the Badge Bomb site.
Badge Bomb makes button badges, boxes and magnets right here in Portland.
