Statement :
My objective is to produce situations that confront social and moral constructions of female identity. The work careens through the potentials of sculpture, design, engineering, live performance, and photography.
Over the last three years, comprehensive research of female sexual experience has yielded a body of work that deals specifically with the orgasm: an exploration of the female capacity to let go completely. These studies have led to a recent analysis of the oscillating social expectations of "woman."
Material for current work derives from the dissection of vintage sex education and social etiquette films, along with science-fiction films of the 1960s. In breaking down the androcentric perception of sexuality, The Woman emerges as a symbol for all things powerful and powerless. My interest lingers within this limbo. I wish to explore this potential of gaining control and losing control simultaneously.
In past projects, children’s toys and religious archetypes were employed to deliver provocative content. Presently, my structural focus revolves around the symbolic possibilities of female-specific products.
In addition to exercising commercial items, a consistent goal is to incorporate scientific methods and perspectives that work to generate phenomenological effects.

Block is a photographic essay, amassed as a set of visions, offering hints for storylines in a murky, dystopic scene of the city witnessed by a stranger. Focusing on gray, concrete features with some people as spectators, narrowing down the elements in the frame, driven most often by the observation of the shapes the light creates, it alludes to a mute perspective toward contemporary city life and the people’s role in it. Simultaneously it is a story where the photographer plays the role of a protagonist in the big city that throws a newcomer into its infinite whirl of new people and peculiar surroundings. Photographs for the series were shot in New York between 2014 and 2015.
