A side-thought as I wind down for the evening (though it's been on my mind- for a time?). Unless something comes up between now and my birthday, any and all proceeds from commissions here (or tips on Ko-Fi) will go towards purchasing selfship art comms from other artists.

Brain was refusing to work on a good chunk of the responses, so I picked up my sketchbook and resolved to just. Draw. And ended up drawing a hint of a scene from a drabble that...I have not posted yet.
Technokinesis- when you live on a planet made of technology, it's a very useful ability. Especially when your goal is to skewer any perceived threats.
And yet more chibi chaos, and apparently I decided I wanted to suffer because fuck all, Sentinel is not easy even in 'simplified' styles.
A friend pointed this out so no, that is not a leash, that's the thread between Shatter and Aether that symbolizes they're soulmates.
On the one servo, Shatter's happy that his once-reclusive soulmate has grown out of their shell and actually interacts with him- to the point he's gotten to see more sides to them than just 'leave me alone'!...
On the other servo, they've 'playfully' stolen his half-finished reports so many times at exactly the same time every fragging solar cycle that he just keeps a fake set on hand for them to 'steal'. And yet, he still chases them down to take back his 'reports' every time.
It's gotten to the point where a good chunk of Iacon Tower's residents know what time of the solar cycle it is because they'll hear giddy, alien laughter followed by a loud 'AETHER!!'. They usually make up for being a menace by helping Shatter finish up his reports, after.
So, enjoy a doodle of Scrap Metal sleeping/recharging together (otherwise known as 'Solar kidnapped one of Optimus' arms, he will not get it back until they've reached eight hours of recharge'). The benefits of when one's soulmate mass-displaces down to something closer to your own size.
Atlas...does not have an easy time trusting people. Well- the machines. Robots?--- The things that tried to kill them, whatever they are. They can't get that blue one smiling down at them as it crushed their ribs out of their head--- why do they all attack the moment they spot Atlas, does time even pass here---?
What a twist of fate that their thread lead them right to one of those--- what was the term--- Cybertronians.
I was mostly just trying out a new shading technique that I think I used once(?) over five years ago, on a Cybertronian SI of mine. A version without the words is under the cut!
Essentially, a piece of my concept of a Trailblazer for Star Rail. Obviously another SI variant, but- they're also just meant to be a nonbinary Trailblazer.
Their 'codename' is Chrome Void. Their vessel was initially meant to be the female variant, Stelle, but the data that was sent to Silver Wolf was corrupted (slightly) in the last second by the Aeon, Fuli. The memories of a human from many millenia ago- a random human who was long forgotten and erased from all but the mind of Fuli- were transmitted into the puppet-body. The data was insanely old, so it didn't translate the best- and its mere presence in the receptacle for the Stellaron resulted in physical changes to the Stelle Trailblazer body- causing Chrome Void's physical appearance, which is semi-reminiscent of how they appeared when they were alive, millennia ago.
Their body shrank, resulting in their initial clothing being-- baggy on their frame. Chrome has a number of 'blank spots' in their memory, and has a tendency to forget things easily- so once they're aboard the Express, they take to keeping notes on their device of things they don't want to forget.
Unlike Stelle and Caelus, Chrome's first path is not, in fact, Destruction- and their main element is not Physical, either. Their main path is the path of Abundance, and their main element is Imaginary.
They try not to think about the life they lived before waking up in Madam Herta's Space Station. Every time they do, they start having a panic attack.
Chrome- like the canon Trailblazer- doesn't remember Kafka or Silver Wolf. They have dreams sometimes, where they can hear a voice speaking to them- but those are intermixed with dreams of their life long-ago. It's very rare that they wake up without tears.

As of tomorrow, I will either be out of debt, or only a few dollars away from it!! After that point, I plan to put every dollar I get from commissions towards rebuilding several blog themes of mine (the total looks like it's gonna be about $225 for all the themes with stolen code [that includes new graphics to match the themes, that way I can wipe off all I can], so I'll edit my Ko-Fi goal to reflect that after I finish paying off the debt). It's a relief to know the end is nearly here and I'll be free from this nightmare.

So, I semi-recently watched playthroughs of Poppy Playtime Chapter 3, annnnd I liked DogDay, so...decided to try my hand at an SI in the PoP universe.
SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER THREE OF POPPY PLAYTIME UNDER THE CUT.
Lane Alex Banks was a fellow orphan with Casey Kit Jones, and raised in the Poppy Playtime orphanage/onsite Playcare. They were a fellow leader with Casey, and looked up to by most of the kids in the factory, so when the time came for the first round of experiments...Lane was selected. They were meant to become a Bigger Body of a discontinued rave/bat themed toy, but the toy was dropped mid-process/experiment, and Lane was held prisoner deep in Playcare to make sure no one ever saw them.
They eventually escaped during the Hour of Joy, and are the only known child to escape the factory. They returned about ten years later at the age of 25, intent on getting closure about the entire disaster- only to get caught up in the troubles currently taking place in Playtime Co.'s factory.
Random facts about the AU:
Casey Kit Jones eventually became DogDay prior to the Hour of Joy.
Casey and Lane never followed the Prototype, Casey knew CatNap while Lane didn't, so he distracted CatNap so Lane could escape during the Hour of Joy.
Lane had no clue that Casey held off CatNap.
One of the proposed names for Lane's 'toy self' was going to be BabblyBat. Another was 'Party Bat', or 'Rave Bat' (a toy aimed at teenagers).
Lane's skin is discolored to match every location where the toy parts were attached- so around their ears/cheeks, shoulders, and upper back.
Their original hair color (when they were a kid) was blond, but now it's a bright purple.
Lane can hover/fly a few feet off the ground, but due to an intense fear of heights, they almost never use their wings for this purpose.
They have a barcode inked into the skin just below their shoulder, which would have eventually become the barcode of their 'toy'.
Anywhere their skin is discolored feels more like plastic than flesh.
Lane's hearing and sight are heavily increased, which resulted in them wearing sunglasses a lot when out in the day.
Lane can very easily be overwhelmed by intense noise.
They can produce an incredibly painful, high-pitched shriek that can stun opponents for a few seconds.
After finding DogDay in his near-dead state, Lane was able to rescue him.
After escaping the factory, Lane and DogDay end up running an orphanage together. Where and how is yet to be determined.
