Confession time...

When I started this blog, I was a Latin intern with plans to become a Latin teacher. Now I'm not, and it's a long story, but the short version is "I don't have some basic skills that I'd need to be a teacher and the US's public education system is not a good place to work right now, so I'm finding something else to do with my life."

Finding this out HURT - really, really, massively - but I think I'll end up in a better place in the long run. In the meantime, I'm trying to figure out what to do - what marketable skills I have, what career to pursue, how I'll pay off my student loans - and I don't really have the authority to run this blog anymore. I'm not teaching Latin, nor do I have plans to do so in the future...so I can't really comment on the problems involved in a job that I don't have.

Which is a long-winded way of saying "this blog is on hiatus, probably forever." I might make some Latin study materials (or a "teach yourself Latin!" website) sometime in the future, but that's probably as close as I'd come to teaching Latin again.
