Hiya! I just finished playing Latte Gay and I have to say it’s one of the most enjoyable Visual Novel Demo’s I’ve played! I was just wondering when you guys plan to do a full release? Because it’s something I’m definitely looking forward too!

We don’t have a release date set yet, this is a side project for us as a group. We do hope to have more updates in the future and we’re trying to find a good format for updates without spoiling the future story lines we have planned out.
The entire dev team would like to thank everyone for all the ongoing support, reblogs and shares, and most of all for all 500 downloads we’ve gotten in the past three days! This demo is a side story to a larger planned VN, and follows the journey of two possible love interests if neither of them are romanced. Marllie spends all her free time in the Daily grind working on… whatever it is. To Blake, the newbie, she’s the one customer that sends her into a panic with her impossible orders.
They’ll have to overcome awkward conversations, exasperated friends and disastrous flirting on their journey to become something more.
Maybe the cute dogs might help a little bit.
(Doubt it though. Blake and Marllie are pretty useless.)
We decided to release this game in alpha for the yuri jam deadline! Now our game still has quite a bit to go before we can consider it fully finished, but we wanted to release it early and try to get some feedback from players in order to help us better the game.

B: Well, you know that Espresso Express on the corner? Pretty sure people are going there instead. Big, mainstream franchise. Cheaper too. A lot of the college students are going there now, that’s for sure.
M: That’s a lot of lost customers.
B: Luckily the office workers are still coming.
M: Are they enough though?
B: I dunno. It’ll be okay though, Jun and Maya have come up with some ideas to try and promote us a bit. Get more customers coming through the door.
M: Stuff like what?
Blake winks at her.
B: You’ll have to wait and see, o valued customer mine.
A: Well, well, well. Fancy seeing you two here. Together. Do I finally get to be fifty bucks richer?
Blake hisses something that sounds like a barely audible threat.
B: Don’t you dare start singing the Little Mermaid songs or I’ll-
In which Asher really just wants them to get together already.
Maya appears, grabbing Asher by the sleeve of his shirt. Judging by her expression, she'd absolutely drag him back to the register by his ear if he wasn't so tall.
Asher lets out a noise that sounds suspiciously like a whine.
A: Aw, come on, Maya. They're so cu-
He yelps as Maya pinches him.
MAYA: Sorry about this, you two. You know how it is when you're babysitting. All it takes is a few seconds.
The first snow comes early and unexpectedly this year. Marllie draws herself further into her scarf as the wind picks up, cold air ruffling her loose hair. She regrets leaving her beanie at home.
She picks up her pace, hoping the snow doesn’t get worse. It’s a route she knows well by now, having taken it nearly every day for the past eight months.
Marllie sighs in relief as she steps into the coffee shop’s warm interior. It’s relatively quiet, a few patrons scattered around the tables. No surprise really, considering the weather and how early it is in the morning. Still, it’s routine now, and she likes to take advantage of the free wifi and cozy atmosphere.
Shay: You like her. I remember this from your last ex. It’s the same dopey look.
In which Blake is an oblivious gay, and Shay just wants to retain her sanity. An excerpt of what you can find in the demo! Releasing at the end of this month!
Blake’s phone flashes for what has to be the dozenth time in a ten minute period. She lets out a soft snort and rapidly taps a reply, setting it back down again. Shay peers at her suspiciously.
S: Who are you texting? You’re grinning.
B: You remember that one customer who kept ordering ridiculous things?
S: That doesn't narrow it down, Blake.
B: Okay, you're right. Upside down macchiato. Small blonde. Can't spell her name for shit.
S: Ah, yes. I remember the stories.
B: She’s babysitting some kids and they’re engrossed in a movie right now. We’re just talking about stuff.
Shay squints at her, looking between Blake and the phone. She puts her book down.
S: You like her.
Blake’s smile disappears immediately.
B: What’re you talking about?
S: You like her. I remember this from your last ex. It’s the same dopey look.
S: I’m not doing this with you. You’re deflecting.
B: She’s a customer! A new friend, nothing more. I’ll admit that she’s… cute. But that’s it.
S: You’re also blushing.
B: Am not.
Shay rolls her eyes again.
S: Whatever. You should just ask her out if you like her. Save me from the pining from last time. I beg of you. I really don’t need you lying on my floor whimpering about how pretty you think a girl is again.
shay works at the brand new big name rival coffee shop across the street. she’s also Blake’s close friend and roommate, here to provide free roasts, both of the coffee and insult variety!
maya’s been working at The Daily Grind for the past few years and she’s now a seasoned barista ready to meet all your coffee needs. whether it’s an triple shot venti caramel macchiato or just a simple latte, maya’s your girl.

the customer that just won’t leave blake alone. known for her incredibly difficult to make orders (and even more difficult to spell name), marllie frequents the coffee shop to do work but still manages to get caught up with some gay stuff.
