I wish things were different. Sometimes you find someone and you just feel when your soul clicks with them. It’s like the biggest breathe of fresh air you could ever imagine in your life. Everything fades away with them. You are the best version of you that you could ever be with them. But sometimes the circumstances aren’t right. Sometimes people are meant to fall in love but not be together… and your soul is so deeply attached to theirs that you can’t just pry it away. You fight and claw to stay together but God and the universe have a different plan… and so you’re ripped apart, shredded and scattered like confetti. You’re missing pieces of you. Chunks. But you can smile knowing the pieces of you are now resting deep within their soul. They have a part of you now and forever. And you too have a part of them. It hurts now, but the wound will heal… and you’ll have a scar that’ll tell your story. You’ll have a reminder every day. You went to battle to love them.
