The ending of the AU. I don't want to write it but it feels like the only ending. I also worry about my skills to write it.

Answered here but another... there's a detail in the first fic I ever wrote Emma's boyfriend is the one buying the alcohol aka subtle nod to the fact he's a creep.

Oooh hardest question by a mile....

I think it's the plot of Saviour Complex - it seems a bit heavy handed (the strip club felt so cliché) but it's all written using the lived experience of real women in F1 from the Bancroft and Sturm 2025 paper. So yeah, a lot of Laura's arc in that fic comes from that paper (as well as peppered in with some of my own from fieldwork too).

I think afternoon or evening is probably my favourite. Though morning is good bc then I feel like I've done something with the day.

I write in Google docs bc free - I have one tab that has the plan and a tick list to keep me on track, and then I'll write in a subtab. I'll then have another subtab for the edited bits as I put them through spell check.

Perhaps now is a good time to remind everyone that there's a brilliant championship charge going on currently in f1a. I've seen a lot of blogs who don't really go near WIM stuff engaging with the Maya situation (generally positive). Now is perhaps the time to get involved.

The racing is getting better every year, and the next race is in a couple weeks at Zandvoort. Another plus is it's free!!! You can watch here on youtube. The first three races of the season have been excellent, and well worth a watch if you need to catch up. With Alisha stomping her own winning margins record in Montreal, or the young wild card Chiara taking pole in Silverstone and becoming the first wild card to reach the podium. It's been a season to watch and we have three more races to come.

For the writer ask game, super curious about 5. and 39.! <3

The title inspo usually comes from a song I've been listening to during the writing. All apart from the first fool's gold fic - but that came from pyrite and how it looks good but is ultimately worthless (it felt deep at the time 😭)

Drink of choice is usually whatever I've been grooving with at the time. I go through awful phases of only wanting one thing and recently it's Albert Heijn tropical lemonade. Snacks it's salt and vinegar rice cakes not bc I'm dieting but bc if I'm locked in I like to graze. It's been a thing I've eaten at my desk since my undergrad thesis write up I think my brain just associates it with work mode.

I would love to be someone who makes those gorgeous mood boards - maybe I'll open Pinterest the next time I write bc I think it can be useful but currently... Nope!

I usually check when I get the email from ao3 about comments because I'm shallow and I love validation.

Probably the muellerschmitz au I wrote the first part for... Just need to finish the series off first. I don't know how people can write multiple things at once it's a skill I do not have and it hurts my brain. But yeah that one - didn't think I'd like writing an AU so much so I'm excited to start working on that one again.
