There is no point in comparing your life to someone else’s life. When you are too busy focusing on what you dont have or dont do, you are losing sight on something that someone might be envy of you.
Everyone is different
Every situation is different
Do what is fit for you.
A SCARED TIGER UGH. MY HEART
I hate this
I’ve had this on loop for an hour now, someone send help
This pun…..oh man…..
All my life
I have been told to do things that will lead me to a bright future. But there were so many things wrong, so many things that were missing, and things that were so narrow from the things I was told.
I was told to study. Study. Study. Because my future will be successful. I was told to go to school. I was told to not go out and to just stay home, study, and save money. Well….apparently, I didnt follow any of those things.
As a child, I had a large imagination. I would pretend I was those singers and actors I see on tv. I would used a pole and pretend it was a microphone. I could say every single line from The Lion King because I wanted to express other emotions than my own.
At school, I was the good kid. The student that every teacher loved. I wasnt a straight A student, but I did enough where people knew of my capabilities. I didnt join the wrong crowd. I didnt do things to become popular. I was neither the unpopular or the popular. I was just someone everyone knew. I didnt do things to expect something back. I learned from people’s mistake and the stupid drama that happens in grade school is how I learned to be a good friend and a person.
But apparently what I did was not enough. I didn’t get the white gown and my parents felt like it was useless to come to my high school graduation.
College
I told myself that I have to grow. I have to improve. I have to get good grades because I was told that if I have good grades and I graduate with a degree, a job is waiting for me.
Post-College
"When you get a degree, a job is waiting for you" = bullshit. What they should have told all high school juniors and seniors is that a job will be waiting for you if you get your name out there. Get internships. Volunteer. Build connection. Network. Make sure people notice you! Yea…they tell you this in college…but they dont emphasize it until its a little bit too late. But of course, its never too late. You just have to work extra extra harder.
Next up, I was told that to have a successful life, I have to make a lot of money. What I have learned from switching between 4 different majors is that, money shouldnt be the focus. Focusing on money made me struggle in classes. Made me get bad grades. Made me feel stupid and hopeless. It was because I wasn’t interested or passionate or motivated enough to study those material that will supposedly make me rich. Thinking about money made me forget about my passion to bake. Well…focusing on money made me leave that passion behind.
What got me through college is the things I did beside studying. I joined a fraternity whose cardinal principals were Leadership, Friendship, and Service. I met a lot of people who opened my eyes. Ive seen things that made me appreciate what I have. I became more social. I stopped stuttering. I learned how to small talk and keep a conversation going. I learned to step up. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel like I belong there. I felt awkward. Suddenly, I was involved in a culture club on campus. The last thing I thought I would ever do. I never attended a meeting, yet…I was their treasurer and then their vice president. I helped write a script and then I directed it. All of a sudden, I know what it takes to be a leader. I met people who, I know, will be life long friends. I met a special someone who did things and treated me like no one has ever done before. College is the time where you truly meet people who you are fortunate to have in your life.
still…all of those things were “supposedly” not enough. Well….that doesn’t matter anymore because its my life. I don’t do things just for the money. I did things because I know something good will come out of it. I did things because it will help me learn towards my definition of a successful life. Like what Olaf said, “All good things.” And for a fictional character, he said it just right.
What I am doing now is living life as much as possible. As a child, I never saw myself old. Tomorrow is never promised. I dont want to leave and all I did was study and tried to please someone else’s wishes or hope of my life.
I’m not worried about my life because I know what I want. I just need encouragement. I need people who are in the same boat as me. I help you if you help me.. because this is how I think:
If I were to become successful, I cant enjoy my success if other people don’t have their success…. in other words… I can’t enjoy a meal if I see someone starving in front of me.

- Have great communication skills. Communication is a necessity.
- Build relationships
- Do things because you believe something good will come out of it
- Money is a plus, not a focus
- Stand out in your own way. The right people or opportunity or anything will come to you if its meant for you
- Every situation is different. To find out what works for you, know yourself and your situation
- Know what you want. Understand what you want. Work hard for what you want. If you read this all the way, damnn. But thank you lol now you know a lil summary about me.
I know I will be okay, but right now I'm not okay. There's a difference.
Hello. I am Baymax, your personal healthcare companion. I heard the sound of distress, what is the problem? On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your pain?

Things to remember tonight...
White people are not the enemy, racist people are the enemy
Cops are not the enemy, cops who abuse their power are the enemy.
The justice system is not the enemy, individuals within the justice system are.
Hate that breeds hate is useless = anger that breeds change is transforming.
