Thomas wasn’t one for talk, but he was particularly interested in tattoos so he sat up a little and looked over the two ideas she had in mind. Luckily for her, he was a blank wall majority of the time and he hid his disapproval as he returned to his slouchy position “Mmm, don’t think I’ll be much help.”

“I don’t think he knew he was going to do it either, if that makes you feel better.” Poppy replies, shrugging her shoulders. “I’m sure I will. Yeah, I guess that’s true. I dunno, I think it’ll feel different being officially married as opposed to being engaged. I could be wrong though.” She shrugs again, taking a sip from her glass of water. “I promise we’ll bring you a t-shirt.”

“I know, it’s fine.” She shrugs back, smiling softly. “I wouldn’t know, I’ve never been married...but people say it usually feels the same. I mean, you’re still together, it’s just way more official now.” Layne chuckles, rolling over on her side. “Thank you. I appreciate it. I promise to send you pictures of Ezra every day while you’re gone. He’s so cuddly, it makes me want a kitten.”

“You didn’t. It’s fine.” Jonah shakes his head, giving her a reassuring smile. “Want to get both? We can split them, and if there are leftovers we can always take them home and eat it later or something. You can never have too much pasta in your life.” He jokes, laughing quietly. “Everything sounds good, honestly. I’m really hungry.”

Layne presses her lips together, ordering a water as the waiter comes over to asks for their drinks. “That’s a good idea.” She nods, smiling at him. “This is very true, but it’s all going to go to my ass.” She jokes back, setting her menu down on the table. “So am I. It smells so good in here that it’s rude.”

“Yeah, well, to each their own, I guess. What other tattoos do you have? Lemme see. I’ve been thinking about getting one, but I’m so freaked about regretting it, I can’t bring myself to actually do it.”

“I have this rib piece,” Layne said, lifting up her shirt to show the girl her dreamcatcher. “This quote on my ankle, and then this bow on my wrist.” She explained, showing them each.

Oh well, for once in his life it’s not about him. It’s about Poppy and Sam. I’m super excited for the wedding, I’ve never been to one before.

Yeah, that guy is an ass. I used to go over to watch Evan and he’d just make rude comments all day, so I started bringing Evan back to my apartment when I watched him.

“Well I don’t think I’d regret it, personally. Everyone is different, plus I’m not your friend, you know? I kind of like simple, the ones I already have are pretty simple.” The brunette shrugs.

Lola eyed both of the choices carefully, but it only took a mere second to decide. “Not the owl one. Might be cute now, but it’s one of those you’ll-regret-this-later tattoos. Go with the heart rate thing.”

“Why would I regret the owl? It symbolizes wisdom. I’m probably going to get the heart rate one, though. I like how it looks more.”

”For the wedding? Yeah, of course.” Poppy smiles, leaning her head against her hand. “I know, it’s crazy. I swear we were in Canada just yesterday.” She murmurs, looking at her engagement ring. “Nope, it’s a complete surprise. All I know is Ophelia offered to pay for it. Sam has been very secretive about it all. I’m excited though…I like surprises. Especially his surprises.” She says, helping herself to something to eat. “I’m sure I will too. All that matters is that we’ll be spending time together, really.”

“I still can’t believe he proposed in Canada and didn’t tell any of us first. I was in Denver, but still.” Layne says as she takes a sip of her soda. “That’s good. Surprises are nice. I think you’ll really like it, though.” The brunette smiles. “Yeah, that’s true. Plus, you guys are basically already married. You get to relax for a whole week after all of this is over. Bring me back a t-shirt, okay?” She teases, nudging her friend’s shoulder.

Understandable, I was just wondering if maybe you blocked the number first or something so it wouldn’t happen again while she has your phone. It’s awful that you have to worry about that in the first place.
