Anyways with that new spark of hope on the horizon,

You might have noticed that I've gone suspiciously quiet on here. Truth is I was really expecting nwos to have a release date by now (#MyWishfulThinking) and that this would give me the motivation boost to pick up this blog again.

I got some stuff to figure out right now, since I'll try going back to university in October after dropping out in the past, and combined with a few other things going on this blog kindaaaa got pushed into the back of my mind unfortunately.

But ☝️ once we actually get our release date for realsies (perhaps even this month?) I'll promise to come back. So uh. LHP is out of order for now.

It's about time! Level-5 will be a part of the Tokyo Game Show 2025 towards the end of the month, even specifically teasing new information about Professor Layton and the New World of Steam! Do we dare get our hopes up and wish for a release date? Perhaps even this year, after all?

Update:

Thanks for the feedback, everyone! I uploaded a new version that fixes two problems some of you might have encountered:

- When quitting puzzle 009 the puzzle screen won't appear over subsequent dialogue

- fixed the issue where a sprite was missing towards the end

There is uh. One problem though still persisting.

Towards the end you have to show multiple pieces of evidences in a row. For whatever reason, when presenting a specific piece of evidence at a specific prompt the game kinda falls apart. We don't know how or why it's happening and I promise it's bothering us more than you lol.

So, when you read "What is Kairos mumbling about?" Please don't present the letter. OK, thanks, bye.

Literally two days ago I was just thinking to myself that I never played The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog, and I really wanted to play it at some point because the idea of a really well crafted joke VN where the main character gets murdered and we have to investigate the case seemed really funny. So... I guess I have two nickles now?

I’m just saying. Mine is shorter than Sonic. Just about 2 hours. Maybe less than that if you’re good at Layton puzzles. So you should play mine first.
