Oh! Are you a Pokémon, then? I know there are Pokémon who are humanoid, like Machamp and Medicham.

“Pokemon?” She repeats the word, before shaking her head no. “Not that, I’ve never heard of that word before. I’m a ‘Gem’, my name is Lapis Lazuli. I don’t know what Machamp or Medicham are.”

[Though her approach was silent, her voice is audible, if only barely. Looking down at the fellow blue gem, Pearl sticks her hand out from underneath the plastic shield humans referred to as an ‘umbrella.’ The drops of water fall softly onto her fingers and roll off, and she watches them with mild curiosity, looking down at the puddle forming underneath her hand.]

“There’s nothing else quite like it, don’t you think..? It’s…intriguing.”

“It just ...” a sigh escaped through her nostrils, “... reminds me of something bad. It’s /pretty/ intriguing, I agree, but ...” She just shook her head no, opening her eyes and turning to face ... Pearl? She almost expected it to be Pearl from the CG’s. She felt like she had heard about this from them, but to be honest Lapis wasn’t fucking listening.

“Oh, hi you.” She wanted to make her feel happy! That she totally viewed her as a separate entity from other pearls in a whole. She tapped her foot, bringing her gaze upwards to stare at the umbrella. She knew this pearl, she remembered.

“I remember you, I think.”

Humans aren’t born with gems! They usually wear it as jewelry, or they put a bit of glue on the gem and stick them on their bodies!

I know. I find that concept weird, but I’ve learned humans wear ‘jewelry’ of non-sentient rocks.

I’m not a human, at all, I’m just humanoid. That rock is basically my ‘brain’. Without it I’ll ... die, I guess? [Not exactly right, she was wording it funky so the human would understand it.]

░ ☹ ░ - If the other gem wasn’t up to the idea, Topaz had learned well by now not to push her luck. She couldn’t help though but allow her kindhearted nature to drive her actions with these kind of things. She didn’t want the other go be stuck out in the rain if she didn’t like it. The very least she could offer was the cover of her umbrella.

              Plus she could probably make a few suggestions for the other gem to get out from the elements. It sucked to be drenched in rain if you weren’t into that sort of thing. Topaz never really liked getting stuck in heavy rainstorms herself so she could sympathize.

           “ Sorry if it was a forward question. I just overheard you is all.” 

Lapis was as cautious as a semi-feral cat, in all honesty. Not too feral, but distrustful. She broke her wary gaze away from Topaz, moving closer to get under the umbrella and crossing her arms, rubbing her arms as she had them crossed.

“Mmm...” A pensive noise escaped her throat, and she almost seemed concerned with being so close to another gem.

“It’s ... fine.” She began, trying to ignore her concern, she brought up what had been on her mind! “Are you a Crystal Gem? Or...? An outcast?”

Honestly….no one would dare to touch a Meowth’s coin, especially that one, whose pride was hurt way too many times, so that scratch was just a warning, thank goodness he didn’t decide to go berserk.

However his rage ceased once he saw the injured hand healing immediately! So that guy wasn’t human afterall.

Ahh……..!!! Y-your hand!!! How did you do that?!

What? My hand?

[She was puzzled! She looked at her hands, before an ‘ohhhh’ escaped her.]

I told you I’m not human. That wasn’t even a real injury, just a little scuff. A real injury would make me ‘poof.’

The mysterious blue lady’s words confused the small cat. Just how something that looks human on every way is not human? That’s inconceivable!

His tail flared as she suggested removing the coin on his forehead. Not his precious coin! He also swung one of his paws at her!

N-NYARTH!! DON’T TOUCH MY COIN! I TREASURE IT A LOT!

[Lapis had reached out towards the cats forehead, but it seemed to panic and swipe its paws at her hand! Claws connected to her ‘skin’, but not enough to actually damage her. She had three scratches that seemed to be dark blueish black, with a hint of neon blue in the middle of the scratches. It wasn’t fucking blood ok.]

Sorry. I didn’t realize it was precious to you. [She didn’t seem at all bothered other than a scowl, it didn’t even hurt! She pulled her hand away, covering the ‘injury’ with her other hand, and when she removed her hand, the ‘injury’ was gone.]

Cat, are you okay? I didn’t mean to, uh. Upset you. [Her fists are clenched now, and she tried to ease up her scowl.]

░ ☹ ░ - Topaz just stared at the other gem kicking at the puddle before stepping up to her. She was slightly anxious to approach but she couldn’t help but overhear the complaint about the weather. It had been pretty rough the past few days, and apparently it was still going to rain tomorrow too.

                   “ Do you want to share my umbrella with me?”

                              It couldn’t hurt to ask right?

She turned quickly when she heard a voice, fully expecting a human. Another gem wasn’t that expected, but when she saw zero hostility, she had no reason to react badly. In her travels, she was getting used to meeting ... the least expected things.

“...” She blinked, before giving a slight nod, clenching both of her fists as she approached the other gem with caution. “An umbrella,” she repeated with a hint of confusion, “Got it, I remember these.” Her wings retreated back into her gem, but she found herself staring at Topaz’s face as she stopped close to them, but not quite under the umbrella close.

Meowth crossed his arms and rose a brow. Ther eis no such things as blue humans! Maybe she is lying but it’s not that he cared really, all he wanted was her gem.

No, I’m not sick, and I’m not a human either. From what I’ve seen, humans can’t be blue unless they use this odd thing called ‘dye.’ But I’ve never really seen examples of this before...

[Lapis crouches down, slav squatting to stare at this odd cat. Hmmm!]

The first thing the feline noticed on the strange blue woman was the pretty, shiny gem on her back, and being a Meowth, that was relevant to his interests.

Hey, why are you blue?

[Tiny voice, different from a grown humans, perhaps a little human? Lapis turned quickly, sure enough a weird animal she didn’t recognize!]

Are you talking?

I’m blue because I’ve always been blue.

“… it’s raining…” Lapis stared at the sky, her water wings out of her gem and raised above her head, to block her from getting any rain on her. The raindrops either merged with her wings, or slipped off them and dripped to the ground. She scoffed, looking down before moving a foot to splash into a slightly dirty-looking puddle. Ew.

“I want to make it stop, but the plants need it, I guess…”

Caitlin stands there holding an umbrella kind of staring at the strange blue person while her reuniclus floats about playing in the rain.

Lapis almost didn’t notice the person and weird animal watching her, blue gaze focused on the sky. Though when she twitched her wings and lowered her gaze, she happened to turn enough to spot the two!

“Oh! That’s a lot of hair for a human. What kind of animal is that?” She’s attempting to be friendlier even though she’s not good at it.
