I’m gonna have to fox the colors later because you can barely see Twixxel and Grox’s stripes, I would do an in depth explanation but it’s 5am bro I’ll do it later.
Rough explanation
Mob: enderman presumably from the End, he’s kind of condensed though since he’s short and fat. He does joke about being muscular so I thought “hmmmm what if the outer layer was fat and the inner layer was muscle”
Grox: wither skeleton from the Nether. He gets into trouble often so that’s why he was so many cracks in his bones. Since gold is a pretty big thing in the nether I wanted to incorporate it into his design, along with wither roses but you can barely see those here. Fun fact; he carries a gun in his rib cage for safekeeping.
Twixxel: void dweller (I’m not smart enough to name a species rn) also presumably from the End which is why he’s buddy buddy with Mob. He likes to mimic things, but it gets him into trouble often. He can sorta shapeshifter since his body isn’t 100% solid
Whispy: pumpkin golem allegedly from a village. Random fun fact; he thought Grox was a girl because he saw flowers sprouting off of him
You should take a look at the timeline… this comic takes place in the middle of a different following out. Think of my comic like a puzzle. Every new comic fills in a gap somewhere in the whole, but you’ll never know where until you look.

however, luckily for me I don’t have to do him dirty in my writing because I can just… write him exactly how he is in the original and feel content he is in fact exactly as unlikeable as I find him to be. I wrote very few lines for him in fact! Almost everything was pulled straight from a page!
Horrortale is canonly one of the universes given as an example of one Dream can’t go to. If you’re wondering why it started a new timeline, well, the comic has two endings. Consider one, one ending, and this the parallel timeline created once the story branched to the second ending.

Alphys was taken to the Omega Timeline and Dream will still try to get aid into Horrortale, and Ink, well
This is the character that enjoys watching genocide timelines after all. While Dream is nearly collapsing from negativity, Ink thinks everything that’s happening is super cool and awesome. Unfortunate.
we’ll have to see what he does next.
Finally, everyone in this fandom who said Dream could have no justifiable reason to stop being friends with Ink in canon because he doesn’t care about the people in universes owes me $20
