Mingi listened carefully as he took a pulled up a nearby chair and sat next to the other male. He was used to seeing this side of Hongjoong but he enjoyed watching the older male doing something he loved. It made him wonder if the others ever got to witness this like he did when getting to work on songs alongside the other. “I like it a lot hyung, it sounds really good. I’m sure the others and the fans will enjoy it as well.” He let him know, being honest with his feelings on the other’s piece.

Hearing that Mingi enjoyed it also excited him, as the other male was great with rhythm. Beat as well, as rappers were always needing to stay on beat through and through. So if there was anyone that would know best in this group, it would be him. Humming to himself, Hongjoong let out a soft yawn before setting his eyes back on the computer monitor. “Can I sit in your lap?” he asked softy, wanting to sit on a softer surface. “It’s softer..”

Mingi just watched carefully, taking in what the other male was doing. His eyes tracked the way Hongjoong moved and how focused he was while working. Also seeing the way the way he moved around different things on the computer had Mingi even more intrigued. He perked up and focused back on the older male once he heard him start speaking again. “I’m sure hyung. I’ll make sure to leave and get sleep as soon as I’m feeling tired, promise.”

Hongjoong knew Mingi wouldn’t do as he said, as the boy wanted to stick things out to the end. Once the one song was complete, he exported it in order to send it off to their manager and staff. “You like the beat or do you think there is more I could’ve done to it?” He often stressed himself off when doing this work, as his perfectionist side come out to play.

Mingi knew that Hongjoong worked hard and stayed in the studio for days at a time even. Their eldest member expressed how he wanted him to come home at times since the two shared a room together. Mingi would sometimes come to join Hongjoong since he liked helping him produce some of their songs. Now though, the taller male wanted someone to spend time with. The others were doing their own things and he didn’t want to bother them so he chose their leader instead. “I don’t mind staying hyung. I like keeping you company even when you are working away at something.”

Hongjoong wouldn’t object, as it was lonely at times to be the editor. He was pleased though, happy to have Mingi here with him for company. Humming softly, he licked over his bottom lip as he moved around the beat of the song. The boy had an idea, wanting it to go exactly as planned. “Are you sure? I want you to sleep though, okay? Don’t be in here with me as long as I’m editing.”

Mingi couldn’t help but smirk at the older male’s reaction. He knew he wasn’t used to having eyes on him unless on stage but he enjoyed watching him and especially when their leader was busy working. “I know, ATINY always appreciates the music we put out. I know they are awaiting for the next album already.” He gave him a smile once seeing him look back at him. “I know but I enjoy saying it plus I know when I bother you too much, you will bite me.” An amused tone coming through with his words. He knew Hongjoong didn’t mind but he couldn’t help but mess with all the members every once in a while.

Hongjoong nodded, well aware how much the fans were looking forward to any upcoming albums. It’s one of the many things that kept him going, kept him pushing. He knew that the other boys must’ve been busy if Mingi was down here while he was editing. As he could be quite the nuisance and often downed himself. “Mm, you know I’m going to be down here for awhile, right? You don’t have to stay while I wait in this room and go over the same thing twenty times.”

Mingi nodded as he listened to the older male talk, not breaking eye contact at all even once Hongjoong looked at him. “Ah, you always work so hard hyung but it always seems to pay off in the end.” The taller spoke softly, his eyes softening a bit. “The others were curious about you and voted that I come check on you.” he teased, knowing that he came on his own since he wanted to see the other male. “Kidding, I came on my own because I wanted to bother you.”

Hongjoong squirmed a little as he felt the eyes on him. It wasn’t that he hated it, it was just not something he was used to. “I have to, we can’t let our ATINY’s down. I want to make sure that things are smooth.” Biting his bottom lip, he soon glanced up at Mingi once more to hear him out. “Oh? Bother me? You’re never a bother though, none of you are.” The truth was that he enjoyed being with the members, finding them to make him feel comfortable and happy on the daily.

Mingi knew where to find their leader and he felt the need to bother him right now. Pulling himself through the door and into the studio of the company building, a smirk pulling across his lips as he noticed the other male, working away like usual. He found himself leaning over the back of the chair that Hongjoong occupied, his eyes looking over the computer screen to understand what the leader might be working on. “Working on anything special hyung?” he muttered, letting the words flow from his lips, moving himself so he could look at the other male’s face. @leaderxjoong​

Hongjoong was working on manipulating the beat in their new song, wanting everything to be perfect. He was often found here, overworking himself and living off of energy drinks. The boy hadn’t noticed the other walk in, jumping slightly when he heard the familiar voice. “Mm, I’m working on the beat for the new song. I have to have everything perfect, I’m not yet satisfied with it.”  Glancing up at Mingi, he raised an eyebrow. “What are you doing here though? It’s late.”
