Jake Gardiner is not a perfect player, and some might argue he is not a great player. And you know what? You are allowed to have that opinion. But at the end of the day he is still a living and breathing human who had a bad game. I saw some people saying “hEs bEiNg pAiD $5 miL” as if that’s an excuse to be rude to him. No. Jake Gardiner is not just a hockey player, he is a person with family, a wife and soon to have a child. You don’t have to like him. But you do have to respect him.

Alright, get ready to read.

So Game one just happened. I feel that this will be a game in the future where we forbid talking about it in our households, but I'm really fired up right now and I need to get my thoughts down.

So firstly, the Kadri hit. Man you can't do that. I know there was an elbow on Marner and Marchand exists but this is the playoffs and you can't retaliate in a game that your team is trying to claw back into. I say give him two games to teach him a lesson. If not, bench him for a portion of game two.

Overall, the team did not show up. I do not know who the imposters were on the ice today, but they are not our boys. To many failed clears, giveaways, stupid penalties, guys not taking their man and overall no urgency. This team needs to show up on Saturday or they'll find themselves in a hole.

Next Bruins fans. OK I get it its the playoffs. But, some class is nesessary. Chanting "We want the cup in the first game. Please. Some of the B fans in the internet (especially reddit), need to chill about things and stop being hypocrites. Kadri's hit was dirty but you need to acknowledge that Marchand does the same things, and you still love him. Like I said earlier he should be disciplined, but don't attack him like he is the dirtiest player in the league, because its obvious who is.

Leafs fans need to be better too. You can't blame this on the refs. Sure some calls could have gone either way, but the Bruins were the better team. Don't go being a bad representation of Leafs Nation.

Now that that's all out if my system. I can finally sleep (maybe). Just keep remembering that this is our team, and they will show themselves.
