can you share tips/info on security, alarms, tags, lp, etc. on the following stores: books a million, kohls, joanne's fabrics, michaels, hobby lobby? thank you!!!! you're fab :)
Omg okay this is probably going to be really long so bear with me but here we go!!
Books a Million - I’ve made a previous post about this but my boyfriend used to work there and they do have cameras but they’re really old with bad angles and the only person who might be watching is the manager so if you see the manager on the floor then you’re fine (You still should try not to conceal on camera). They do have a lot of blindspots, and no security tags that I’ve seen so far but you might see square RFID stickers on newer books and hardbacks so always check every page.
Kohls - It varies by location. Most, if not all, will have a camera pointing towards the dressing rooms but the dressing rooms and unlocked and unattended so as soon as you go in there to conceal, leave immediately. They use tags requiring a hook, and tag mostly everything (again, this varies by location). I’ve heard of a lot of people getting caught at Kohls so use UTMOST CAUTION HERE. If you do go, wait awhile before you return. Many locations have very attentive LP, and they do have people watching the cameras at all times.
Joann’s Fabrics - I’ve never been here but it seems easy!
Michaels - The literal easiest place you could ever lift from. They tag nothing and most locations have little to no cameras with loooads of blindspots. They also have a no chase/no apprehend policy and no Loss Prevention if I remember correctly.
Hobby Lobby - Also in the same ballpark as Michaels. Most will have little to no cameras and I don’t think anything is tagged, although I’m not sure if they have a no chase policy. Generally easy.
