it's a double standard as well when people talk about democracy. every country pointed to as "see? we just need a nice liberal democracy" has the standard of living it does due to objectively undemocratic actions and circumstances historically and currently. the only way you can view capitalism as free and democratic is by dehumanizing the people whose lives were and still are cut short for it
