So it's been a whole year since I last posted on my blog but guess what? I'm back lol!! To start this thing back off my review is on Burntshirt Vineyards which is located in Hendersonville NC. My wife and I were in desperate need of a quick little fun getaway so I decided to surprise her with a tour/date at the Vineyard. Hands down this was the most fun I've had at a wine tasting which is huge because let's just say I know my wine lol. When we pulled up to Burntshirt we were instantly amazed by the beautiful views of crops that were being grown around the Vineyard and it just had a certain peace about it. Once we walked up to the main entrance we were greeted by a very nice young lady who struck up a conversation with us by asking us our names and if it was our first time to the vineyard. We spoke for at least 10 to 15 min with her about how the place got started and she also went into what her actual career was which I thought was cool because she had just completed Physical Therapy school and was just working there for the summer until she started her career. Once we finished our conversation she told us when the tour was gonna start and gave us the name of our tour guide, while waiting on out tour guide she let us try these amazing icy wine drinks which were amazing and right on time because the heat was blazing to say the least. The tour guide came and we began the tour. The tour guide was very informative and really gave me another perspective on the wine business as a whole. I never knew how much Chemistry and lab equipment was involved in making the wine but it was really cool because a lot of the lab work they do I do in my own lab so when they said we check the Viscosity of the wine and use pipettes the nerd in me totally knew what they were talking about Lmbo. Once the tour ended we went back to the main entrance where the wine tasting began!!ššš¾šš·The wine tasting was very affordable, in fact to taste all the wine on there list it was only like $10 a piece for my wife and I and it even came with two wine glass souvenirs. It was way to many wines on the list for me to name but our two favorites were the 2014 apple wine and the 2013 Harvest Gold. (1 of each please!) We rapped up our wine tasting after paying for our wine and was instructed to go out to the deck where we could enjoy some live music and also purchase food which was from a food truck but the food was actually on point! I purchased a turkey club with chips and my wife had a barbecue sandwich with cold slaw. The turkey club was good but I recommend trying the barbecue sandwich because it was really good. If you plan on visiting this place dress nice but comfortable, no gym shorts š Burntshirt Vineyards gets a 10 out of 10 because I can honestly say we were not displeased. Check it Out!! šš¾šš¾šš¾šš¾šš¾šš¾šš¾šš¾šš¾šš¾
