Rin is an incredibly spiritually aware person, even for a Makai Priest. There's a reason Amon reached out to her to carry his message to Kouga, and not just because she was named after his mother. While all Makai Priests have a level of spiritual power, Rin has more than most, possibly her belief that her mother was watching over her stemming from this power.Ā

Jabi looked up from book she was reading when someone entered. Then she blinked, looked back at the book, rubbed her eyes, and then looked back. āTsubasa? Are those flowers?ā
"If the boy fails then he is not worthy of my sister." Tsubasa glared at Jabi. "I am not stubborn, Jabi."
Jabi flapped her hand at him. āYou are, and so is Rin. Donāt you remember that sheĀ walkedĀ for three daysĀ to see Kouga?ā
"Yes I remember that. I was annoyed that she disappeared from her priestess lessons just to go see Kouga."
"Well, she was working on Amonās orders. And Iām certainly grateful she did."
Tsubasa turned to glare at the door again. āYeah I knew Amon needed her help but still not telling me where she was going after bringing him back was wrong.ā
Jabi rolled her eyes again. "See? Stubborn. It's been almost eight years and you still can't accept that she did that."

"Rin is still my little sister and she isnāt dating until she is at least 30." Tsubasa didnāt like the idea of his sister to date anyone at all or if he didnāt approve of them.
Jabi sighed and shook her head. āYou canāt stop her. Sheās an adult now. She can do what she likes.ā She knew Tsubasa would be silly about this.
"I donāt care if she is an adult now. She is still and will always be my little sister, and if I say she isnāt dating until she is 30 then she isnāt dating until then!"
"She will always be your little sister, thatās true. But Rin is a woman now." Jabi looked back at her books. "Youāre lucky she hasnāt tried before now. Youāre going to have to accept it when it happens."
"Well if it does then the boy needs to go through my qualifications. I will not have Rin dating some punk." Tsubasa turned to look at the door.
Jabi nodded at that. "And mine, if she seems serious about him." She glanced up at him. "Of course, even if we don't approve, Rin will date whomever she wishes. She's as stubborn as you are."

"Iāll tell her that." Tsubasa put the flowers on the side table. He looked around before walking to lean on a wall. He didnāt know what to do now.
Jabi had reopened her book, expecting him to leave once he got the message. When he didnāt, she looked up again. āWas there something else? Or is my brave knight trying to protect me from Horrors while I am sick in bed?ā
Tsubasa gave Jabi a side glance and crossed his arms. āRin put a barrier and took my staff away saying if I donāt spend time with you then I couldnāt enter the hut or get my staff back.ā
Jabi laughed. "That girl has gotten rather powerful, hasn't she?" There was a strong note of pride in her voice. "Although I don't know if I should call her a girl any more. She's almost nineteen. She could be dating soon."
