Tsubasa lowered his staff and placed one end on the ground. “Just because you are a knight doesn’t mean you won’t mess around. I know one knight that is good at doing that.” Tsubasa looked Aguri up and down before sighing. “Whatever the reason you are here is disturbing just make sure you stay out of Naraku Forest. It’s off limits to everyone.” Tsubasa turned around and started heading to the hut. He didn’t care if Aguri followed him or not.

          Sighing a bit Aguri did end up following him as he looked around, because in the end he was stuck a pretty good bit in the past without any idea how he got there or how to get back. Just that he was right now stuck around some guy who’s not known for his kindness sometimes. Sure he could go back out of the forest and go to the senate anyway and see if they could help but he didn’t know how things were run then compared to now and he could just get himself killed or something. Looking down at his bow it felt like a waste. He put so much effort over that time Rian was away to master his technique and here he would probably not get to use it.

          “I wonder why the Naraku Forest was off limits in the past..” He questioned quietly even as it dawned on him. One night that is good at messing around? Well that guy probably was why it was even more difficult on himself to get things figured out all well and good here.

          Either way he had to find a way back because this guy was not liking him around as much as he honestly felt a bit honored to meet one of the heroes of the legend. Dan the white knight.

Tsubasa looked back at Aguri as he heard the quiet question. "Naraku Forest is forbidden because it houses a family of horrors that almost killed someone during the night of a festival. I don't want a repeat of that now or ever, do you understand?"

Tsubasa lowered his staff still cautious of Aguri even thought the lighters flame told Tsubasa Aguri wasn’t a horror. “So you are saying that you are from the future where I and the others have passed and the fight Kouga, Zero, and I along with other Knights and Priests is a story told to the younger generation Makai Knights and priests? Why should I believe you? Granted you aren’t a horror but I still think you are lying. No one can transport through time, not even the most skilled Makai Priests.”

          Putting away the lighter he was happy the knight was finally at least putting down his weapon a bit. “Yes. Kouga’s son has also passed already.” He added but nodded. “Your story is told to all of us as a reminder.” Taking a deep breath he did agree. “I don’t know why you should believe me, I am only guessing this is what happened when I walked into this forest. What you’re talking me and you being who you are and what I’m seeing now behind me is not the stuff that is around where I am from.” He explained looking back once more.

          “I don’t know how I am to make you believe this but at least know I am a knight and I do not want to cause trouble.”

Tsubasa kept his weapon up and pointed it at Aguri. “Years since Kouga was Garo. What do you mean by that? Kouga is still the current Garo unless he passed it down to his decedent.”

Tsubasa glared at Aguri studying him. “Yes I am indeed Tsubasa and holder of the name Dan, but how did you know that only people I know and the Senate know who I am. No I would think you are the least likely to get any good graces from me with how you talk.”

          Taking a deep breath Aguri put his bow back on his shoulder. “That is what I expected. It seems I am going to have a lot of trouble trying to get what I have realized happened to you since from your perspective it doesn’t make sense, but I insist I am not a horror.” Taking out his lighter he freely lit the green flame and held it in front of his own eyes to show him.

          “As I have gathered it would seem I just walked into the portal into the past a few generations. I know of you because the story of Kouga and his friends fighting against the priest who tried to wipe out Maikai Knights..” He tried to say, hoping that event had already happened so he wasn’t spoiling the future. “It’s a story that’s told for ages after so everyone remembers how important it is for Maikai Knights and Priests to work side by side..”

Tsubasa decided to make himself known to Aguri with an annoyed expression. How do you know Garo. Kouga never mentioned a boy named Aguri to be friends with him. I should know I am friends with Kouga-san.” Tsubasa raised his staff and pointed it at Aguri. “Where is Volcity or the ruins for Volcity. Also I set up a barrier but I seriously doubt anything happened with my barrier unless you are a horror disguised as a Knight.”

          Now it was Aguri who was more than ever confused. “Wait a moment. You say Kouga..? But he hasn’t been Garo in many years..” He tried to explain even as he looked behind him again at the change in appearance of the place he came from. “So ..” He pushed up his glasses by the side as he seemed to be getting his head wrapped around things. Using his head was what he preferred more than fighting with strength.

          “It seems this explains what happened. Some how I’m in the past. And quite far to be in the time Kouga was Garo.” He stated looking over at him. “You being friends with Kouga holding that weapon I’d guess you are Tsubasa holder of the title Dan.” He said recalling his knowledge of Maikai history. “If your reputation is as it has been passed down to be I am not exactly in good standing talking like I’m from the future that I am..”

Tsubasa raised an eyebrow as Aguri got his bow ready for an attack. Aguri was defiantly prepared to get attacked by what Tsubasa only knew as a guess, but if Aguri knew about the senate then wouldn’t that make him a Makai Knight. “I have never heard of some like you. Which district are you from and what are you? Also why would you be heading to the senate? I don’t think there was an attack recently that needs to be reported. Why not just go to your local watchdog?” Tsubasa moved a bit away from the tree still staying hidden.

          Well this was interesting so this was a knight then who was talking to him? Aguri could only guess by what he was saying. “I’ve been playing to see the senate for a while to get reassigned, but I decided it would be best to train and improve my technique first. I’ve been protecting the Maikai ruins in VolCity until the priest, who is supposed to guard it, returned from traveling with the the one with the title of Garo..” He tried to explain, using Garo as a hopefully ‘get out of trouble’ card.

          “I myself, if you must know, hold the title Gai.” He looked around a bit but he did put down his bow a bit to not be as ready for an attack. “Though I must question.. what did I just walk through? Do you have a barrier set up?”

Tsubasa was standing guard in front of the house that he and his fellow knights live while guarding the forest from Horrors and unwelcome guests. As he was on look out he felt a strange occurance happening just out side the forest’s gates. Since Tsubasa knew everyone was inside and none of his friends were arriving at the moment Tsuabsa went to go check it out. As he approached the scene he saw someone walking out of a portal.

Tsubasa stayed behind a tree to see what the intruder would do before acting. “Who are you and why are you in this forest?” Tsubasa made sure his presence was unknown to the stranger before asking.

         With his bow on his shoulder the young Maikai Knight decided to take a slightly longer route to the Senate now that Rian had come back to watch over the ruins in his stead. Being there for so long made life feel a bit awkward even if training was all he really did. He just missed getting out and about and that made him choose this long path that he was taking.

          On that path he’d be going through a forest. He remembered the history of it a bit, it used to be protected by a small group of Makai Knights. One who fought along side Garo in a large battle, though all the knights really did in it he was one of those who was right up there next to him.

          Walking into the forest though he felt an odd sensation like he walked -through- something. Turning back around he was faced with a surprise. The entrance didn’t look like the one he just walked past and he soon had his bow up and ready in case this was a horror trap.

          Looking up as he heard a voice Aguri looked around. ” .. I am Kusugami Aguri I’m just walking through to get to the Senate.” He responded simply confused to what sort of thing he just walked into.

"Off limits? There's no place in the worlds that I can't go." She takes a good look at the man who threw the staff and her eyes widened. "Otousan?" Upon remembering her meeting with Rin, she shakes her head. "Wait, you're Rin's Oniisan. Am I right?"

"This forest is dangerous to outsiders. If you step in the wrong place your could be attacked." Tsubasa stopped walking when Sora called him 'Otousan.' He was confused as to why she would call him that. "Yes I am. How do you know my sister?"

Jabi looked up from book she was reading when someone entered. Then she blinked, looked back at the book, rubbed her eyes, and then looked back. “Tsubasa? Are those flowers?”

"If the boy fails then he is not worthy of my sister." Tsubasa glared at Jabi. "I am not stubborn, Jabi."

Jabi flapped her hand at him. “You are, and so is Rin. Don’t you remember that she walked for three days to see Kouga?”

"Yes I remember that. I was annoyed that she disappeared from her priestess lessons just to go see Kouga."

"Well, she was working on Amon’s orders. And I’m certainly grateful she did."

Tsubasa turned to glare at the door again. “Yeah I knew Amon needed her help but still not telling me where she was going after bringing him back was wrong.”

Jabi rolled her eyes again. “See? Stubborn. It’s been almost eight years and you still can’t accept that she did that.”

Jabi sighed and shook her head. “You can’t stop her. She’s an adult now. She can do what she likes.” She knew Tsubasa would be silly about this.

"I don’t care if she is an adult now. She is still and will always be my little sister, and if I say she isn’t dating until she is 30 then she isn’t dating until then!"

"She will always be your little sister, that’s true. But Rin is a woman now." Jabi looked back at her books. "You’re lucky she hasn’t tried before now. You’re going to have to accept it when it happens."

"Well if it does then the boy needs to go through my qualifications. I will not have Rin dating some punk." Tsubasa turned to look at the door.

Jabi nodded at that. “And mine, if she seems serious about him.” She glanced up at him. “Of course, even if we don’t approve, Rin will date whomever she wishes. She’s as stubborn as you are.”

"Yes they are. Rin asked me to bring them for you. She also wishes you to get well soon." Tsubasa handed Jabi the flowers. He felt weird doing this but it was for Rin then he would put up with it.

Jabi smiled, clearly less confused. “Ah, now it makes sense.” She nodded, and indicated her side table with her hand. “Tell Rin I said thank you, and I’ll do my best.”

"I’ll tell her that." Tsubasa put the flowers on the side table. He looked around before walking to lean on a wall. He didn’t know what to do now.

Jabi had reopened her book, expecting him to leave once he got the message. When he didn’t, she looked up again. “Was there something else? Or is my brave knight trying to protect me from Horrors while I am sick in bed?”

Tsubasa gave Jabi a side glance and crossed his arms. “Rin put a barrier and took my staff away saying if I don’t spend time with you then I couldn’t enter the hut or get my staff back.”

Jabi laughed. “That girl has gotten rather powerful, hasn’t she?” There was a strong note of pride in her voice. “Although I don’t know if I should call her a girl any more. She’s almost nineteen. She could be dating soon.”
