Stepping into the shed, Morgan felt slightly comforted by the sight of the Iron Man suit, so similar to her own, though hers was contained in a bangle she wore around her wrist at all times.
With the door shut, Morgan breathed a sigh of relief.
"Okay, so before I start what is the date?"
Tony puts a hand on his Iron Man suit, wiping dust off of it and smiling a bit, before Tony turns to face her as she asks what the date is. He stays quiet as he counts in his head before speaking.
"September 21st, 2022. Four years after the Blip."
It hadn't happened yet.
Swallowing the lump in her throat, Morgan nodded, trying to collect her thoughts.
"Okay, so. In a year or so, the Blip is going to end, I can't tell you how." Morgan said. If he knew what was coming, would he change is mind when it came time to save everyone?
"And then around fifteen years after that, I get into MIT. I needed a project, so I was digging through the archive... and I found a scrapped project of yours and made some modifications... and now I'm here, I need help to get home."
Don't worry, Mother your daughter is a soldier.
"... Hi, Dad."
"Hi, sweetie. What's up?"
"Uh, well..." How to explain something like this.
"You remember when I was little, and you and the Avengers saved the world by going back in time?"
"Yes. I destroyed the time machine and the associated documents," he added. "Nobody can play with it... including me."
"Yeah... about that..." How the hell was she going to explain this?
"I might have found a scrapped model you forgot to scrub and... fixed it. And then I tested it out by going somewhere I knew I wouldn't run into a version of myself... Dad, I met Grandma and Grandpa."
What's it like to leave me behind?
I'm not the same kid from your memory.
โIt doesnโt really speak to my skill set.โ (hello!) @thenamesallison
"Okay, fair enough, you can be my assistant then. All you have to do is hand me stuff, even Dum-E can do it."
"You know, being compared to Dum-E is a compliment. He's so good! And at this rate I think he's going to outlast us all." Ally chuckled and moved to sit next to Morgan and her slew of tools. "Alright, boss. What do you need first?"
"I'm just making some updates to my suit, so right now, I need a those needle nose plyers and that wire cutter once I get the suit offline." Morgan said, slipping off the bangled and summoning the suit onto a mannequin form,
"FRIDAY, take Iron Woman offline please, we don't want to get electrocuted."
"I promise I'll explain, but not here." She could feel her heart pounding, knowing that at any moment her mother would come out of the kitchen and discover her husband standing in the den with a strange young woman who looked suspiciously like their young daughter.
"Can we go somewhere private, please?"
Tony sucks in air through his teeth and then nods, stepping past her, motioning for her to follow him. They had moved to a cabin but he still had his go-to place, the shed he built out back.
He moves quickly and quietly to the front door. He opens it, holding it open for her and quietly closing it so he doesn't alert Pepper.
He makes his way to the shed and opens the door and steps in, waiting for her to join him. It wasn't anything fancy but it still held his Iron Man suit. "This is as private as it gets around here."
Morgan nodded, too bad that stayed the same in this universe. She would have loved to see her father again outside a hologram.
"No. He died when I was little, I just... I was digging through the archives, found some old schematics that didn't work for the time heist, and I thought, what the hell, I'm a Stark I can make this work! And one thing led to another, and now I'm in another universe."
"Tony was working on universe hopping?" It was a bit of a shame, but Ally hadn't done too much digging into Tony's old files after he died. She did some, but there were just so many, and for a long time it hurt too much. She'd want to ask him questions and poke his brain, but he wasn't there to ask anymore. "That's incredible. I have so many questions you have no idea. So...so you don't know me? I don't exist where you're from." It was more a confirmation than a proper question. "And how old are you? And, highest priority question, are you just universe hopping for fun because you could? Or is there some big apocalyptic thing we need to start worrying about?"
"Not initially, Dad's goal was to just travel through time, but some stuff happened over the last fifteen years and I thought it might be a good idea." A good idea she hadn't really talked to anyone about.
"I mean you might? You said we're half siblings right? I was raised as an only child though, to answer your questions, I'm nineteen. And no apocalyptic stuff, I was just testing out the new invention and now I'm stuck."
I will never turn my back on people who need me.

"That answer depends on your answer to my next question, where's Dad?" Morgan didn't want to just reveal the reality she'd been living for fifteen years, especially if this universe's Tony was either alive or the whole final battle with Thanos hadn't happened.
"Dad's kinda part of the reason I'm here."
Ally's brow furrowed lower, her brain having trouble keeping up with everything that was happening. "Where's Dad?" She shook her head; what answer was Morgan looking for? Was her Tony alive?
"Dad's gone. He passed away a few years ago when we fought Thanos...Is yours-?" She couldn't finish the question, but she assumed Morgan was smart enough to assume what it was.
I must become a lion-hearted girl, ready for a fight.
"No!" If she was going to make it out of this, she needed to keep the number of people who knew she was here to a minimum.
"I'm not Morgan, well I am, I'm just not your Morgan... I promise I'll explain, but Mom can't know I'm here."
Tony flinches a bit, blinking slightly as she shouts 'No'. A confused look crosses his face as he drops his arms to rest by his sides.
"Wait.. What.. What did you do?" He asked, raising a brow and looking right at her before looking over his shoulder to make sure Pepper wasn't walking toward them.
"I promise I'll explain, but not here." She could feel her heart pounding, knowing that at any moment her mother would come out of the kitchen and discover her husband standing in the den with a strange young woman who looked suspiciously like their young daughter.
