headcanon: tate

when jaheira first found tate, he did not speak at all. whatever he had seen, whatever had happened to his parents, had traumatized him so much he became non-verbal. it was only with jaheira's tender care, patience and understanding, that he begun to finally open up. speaking still comes hard to him at times, especially whe he is anxous, when his sutter becomes more pronounced. but he is, slowly but surely, becoming better at it.
