The artstyle studies are going good, hopefully i can draw less boykisser-y after this. That fuckass boykisser cat has done a lot to hinder my style development because its such an easy style to draw in. Maybe i should read some beastars too to internalize some tips on drawing anthros, idk, but i do know nagabe is cooking artstyle wise.

3d print of my reference doll for private marco. Dummy 13 base body, dummy smooth shell, various parts i found free on the internet with some modifications, some of his joints are caramelized because i used a soldering iron to make em not suck.

Im gonna paint him and give him clothes later on, as well as try to make an m1 garand adjacent gun for him so i can do some proper posing.

Idk my printer hates all things dummy 13 tho so for a while i may reuse him for posing other characters... i should also print him longer legs because hes a maned wolf (love these things, silly golden dog, if capitalism ever extincts them im becoming a terrorist i am so so so honest about this, hi future jury being presented this as evidence, we had every chance to avoid the tragedy im being convicted of 👋😊)

Anyways i am un-cancelling my webcomic shi because im goated and big brained a plot and another character from nothing but a random polka song and run rabit by Mollie Elizabeth. And as such now have a third main character in mind, as well as a justification for asks in the webcomic, so if you're reading this be a doll and ask private marco some things, i have basically no followers so he'll get to em eventually (unless they're full of like dr house mpreg or something objectively bad, he just wouldnt know how to handle either)

But yeah. I Had a fuck-ton of difficulty on posing in my head recently so im making posable 3d printed dolls of my characters with hand sewn uniforms that i can use as references for drawing em, might have to change artstyle a bit to accomodate (probably gonna make em lankier) but to be fair i am using minimal artstyle effort already cause i dont want to tweak out whenever i draw uniforms and all that. This whole thing stemmed from me wanting to do that carousel animation meme thing and going down a 3 week long rabbit hole about polka and music boxxes so yeah, i mean not that most people gaf, if i had a penny for every neurodivergent furry with a web comic and all that so i aint all that special. I just figure if something ever happened to me i shouldnt keep all my ideas hidden away from the world in my head where theyll never be seen and all...

Anyways yeah, im working on mech designs for a world war era and also have been getting way into the logistics, for so far i have gyro stabilization figured out in a suspension of disbelief way and a clever heat recycling system thay allows for a mech to not overheat by transforming excess deisel engine heat into steam through a boiler system and early stainless steel metallurgy, effectively making a hybrid mech that while a tad bit explosive is also a tad bit deadly at its terrain traversal and armed nature. It also folds down as to not be a walking target the entire time, is very modular in its repairability and often transported by a network of trains from the factory to the frontlines. Basically moving machine gun/sniper towers that appear out of the fog and can move at mach fuck whilst being easily repaired and oft accompanied by ground troops for charges and stuff like that. The trains are key in their maintainenece though its still like 190-somethingerother. I know it dont gotta actually work but i like to be thorough so thats why i have it so thought out. However the controls and sensory range are really shit with normal senses so the chemists back in the royal lab cooked up a drug thats kicks your senses up a good 20 notches and combined it with enough amphetamine to make a junkie scared, basically to pilot a mech like this you gotta be as chemically fried as that finnish soldier who went on a pervatin fueled ski rampage and ate a bluejay raw.

Its so fucked up that when im in the most lucid state of my imagination i can't animate the blorbos in my head to songs. Not because its hard to visualize, far from it.

The simple reason is that my imagination is so vivid in this state that i basically hear in hd audio someone knock on or open my door to bother me without it actually happening, or the sound of someone calling me in another room, leading me to take out a headphone to verify if what i hear is true, which it usually isnt and is just an intrusive thought or something, thus ruining the focus i had on my characters and leaving me to restart the song.

Bonus fucked up points for those times where i dismiss the knock or call only to actually be barged in on while eyes closed facing a blank wall and blasting music in my ears, and then getting chewwed out for playing music too loud to hear anything.

Some day I want to see a show that does the “no filler episodes” thing from the opposite direction. Just a whole season worth of low-stakes character pieces that seem to move the overall story absolutely nowhere, then episode 26 pulls all the triggers at once and this massive Rube Goldberg machine of a plot the show’s been quietly setting up in the background the whole time hits you like a truck.
