What am i thankful for?

Really?

You dare to ask?!?

Fine… I am thankful I am alive,

though i guess there are worse things than death

I am thankful that you taught me the world is cruel

Thankful that you smashed my dreams early,

making sure my hopes never got too high

Thankful that you taught me to trust,

only to shortly after teach me that people cannot be trusted.

Thankful you taught me that people will trample you

Thankful you taught me the She cannot be mine

Taught me that Her laugh was mocking

Taught me… That i will always be alone

I am thankful you taught me that the darkness will hide me

Protect me

Save me

I am thankful you taught me that there was no place for me

Thankful that you taught me that I will amount to nothing

Thankful that you beat me down till i was thoughtless and unable to think for myself

And you know what?

I am thankful for all these things and the lessons they taught

I am thankful for what they molded me into

I am thankful for the broken soul, the confused soul, the wary soul I have become.

For that, I am thankful to have bloomed in the darkness to become more.
