Baby Lenin's auntie miriamgib did this beautiful papercutting of our baby in his Halloween costume as a unicorn. I feel like she really captured the sheer terror he feels at having things put on his body.

Meaning
I looked up the meaning of the name "Lenin" today. In Irish it means "lover" which fits little baby very well, but I wanted to know what it meant in Russian sisnce we named him after Vladmir Lenin exiled revolutionary. I found that his name "Lenin" was a psudonym taken from the River Lena (much like George Orwell/ Eric Blair and the River Orwell). Going back to What Lena (and therefor the made up Russian name Lenin) meant, it just meant big river, which fits little baby too since he is a boat dog, a sailor, a kayaker, and justperfectly happy and at home here on the boat in the sun on deck, selling the wind and barking at seals. He has spent a good deal of boat life on the largest river to empty into the Pacific (the Columbia) and is now in the estuary of the Snohomish River and the Salish Sea for the winter. So our little Lover, our water dog will be having adventures (in dreamland at the moment) and more pictures will come :)
We go for bike ride?

"What a beautiful kayaking dog!!!" said everyone who has ever seen us.
Lenin misses the lazy dog days of summer.
