You know what’s fun?
—————- Drinking. Whiskey and bourbon, to be exact.
Also, I need you to keep my phone as far away from me as possible. Can you do that for me?
Drinking almost any kind of alochol is fun. Give me your phone, I’ll make sure you don’t do anything stupid. Girls aren’t supposed to let other girls drunk text, right?
Listen, if you can stomach at least two sips of my most dangerous whiskey concoction…
I’ll give you free drinks for the rest of the year.
Does that sound like a deal?
Oh... I bet ‘cha I could do it. I accept this challenge.
I could.
Although, I’m not entirely sure how strong that excuse would be when I’m not wearing a ring to prove it.
Ah... True true. I guess honesty may be the best policy there...
"They’re kids, what are you gonna do? They’re just doing what they think is fun, and I can’t say I was much better at their age. Eventually, they grow up, so you can’t hate them for being young. Eh, probably because they know I won’t turn them in. It’s nothing a bucket of water can’t fix."
"At least you're nice about it. If someone ever did something like that to my shelter I'd flip. My animals deserve more respect then that, they've all been through a lot.... I guess I'm trying to say I'd call the cops on them."
It’s a pile of shit, ain’t it?
Yep... It sucks, but I find that alcohol helps a lot.
Apparently, I’m blind and I need to pay more attention to my costumers —— y’know, just in case one of them is “interested" and "wants me to ask for her number”.
Well... You know, if you're not intrested we're technically still married. You could always use that excuse.
Hiding in my apartment, watching reruns of Real Housewives sounded like an okay idea for my day off, but now I’m wondering if I still have my sanity.
After a whole day of Real Housewives...? Probably not. Sorry dude.
I’ve got quite a few..alcohol, drugs, the woman I love..the usual, ya know?
Sounds like we're lusting after similar things.
"Teenagers are little pricks, but you know, this is the age where they’re supposed to learn from their mistakes and shit. I mean, as someone who was isolated until adulthood, I can tell you that thrusting us out into the real world doesn’t really solve shit. Mildly impressed with their attention to detail, though.”
"But still, wouldn't you rather not deal with them? They're awful, and they're even more disgusting than babies... That's so weird. What I don't understand is why would they do that to your door."
"Tell me about it. All the white kids too rich for a bad school, too poor for a private school gotta think they’re bad, y’know?"
"I know, I had the same problem when I was in high school. This town and it's kids are awful, always have been, always will."

His gaze shot upward as he heard her enter the room. No verbal response was given; instead, he smiled weakly and nodded at her comment. With that, he pushed the recently poured coffee in her direction before taking his seat at the table.
Allen watched her carefully. He wore an expression which sported a lethal combination ofdiscomfort and disappointment –––– however, he said nothing until she spoke up.
“Why?” This single word was drenched in animosity, an act that had, essentially, been unintentional. “You thought I was going to turn you away? Embarrass you in front of that officer? Let you get processed? Spend the night in a drunk tank with other intoxicated peace disturbers?”
He wiped his face with his hands, attempting to rub the tired from his eyes. The situation was uncomfortable for him, but he had to remember that she, too, must’ve been a little out of her element. This scenario was strange for the both of them.
“What were you doing? I’m mean, really, Lennon?”
He leaned back in his seat and watched her intently. His previous expression softemed significantly as he waited for her answer.
The smell of his recently delivered food continued to expand throughout the kitchen. This little fact proceeded to annoy Allen as he remembered his previous plans of television, laziness, and questionable meals. However, he did not show this annoyance, but rather sported a sincere look of curiosity.
“If you wanted to drink, you could have done it from the comfort of your ownhome.”
He would know.
"No... Allen..." She said closing her eyes for a second "If I really thought that I wouldn't have told them about you..." She said and bit her lip "I just... I ruined everything... I don't know how you'd want o help me." She said quietly.
She listed to every word Allen said, talking to him was clear. She felt like she had someone to really listen to her for the first time in a long time. She knew he must've been mad, but part of her was so happy that he cared enough to be mad at what she was doing. No one else did.
"I did... Drink at the house. I drank everything I had... Then I fed the animals and walked to get more.... I needed more..." She said looking down. "I just didn't want to walk back home before getting numb first... I wanted to stop feeling sad for a second...I just wanted to be numb, Allen."
Lennon looked back up at him tears filling up to her eyes "I can't do anything anymore, Allen. I don't sleep, I don't eat, it's so hard to go to work and I need to drink through the day to get through work... All I can do is drink. I feel so guilty and pathetic, I ruined everything. I can't believe I did that..." She looked down again, this time tears running down her cheeks.
"I honestly don't know what I was thinking... Drinking in public... Only alcoholics do that..." She shook her head slightly and shrugged "But, who knows I may be stupid enough to have turned myself into a fucking alcoholic... Wow Allen." She said as her head shot up "You married a real winner; a cheater, now a drunk. I'm so fucking pathetic it's not even funny."
More hot tears ran down her face "Allen, I'm a mess... I don't know what to do with myself anymore. I can't do it... Baby, it hurts to much..." She said letting out a small sob. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry I'm doing this... I'm ruining your night, I'm so sorry..."

He listened to the police officer intently, sporting a confused expression while throwing a quick glance in her direction every so often. Despite his desire to explain their current predicament and have him take her away, he wasn’t the type of person to do that. Curse his conscience.
Surely he could give her some coffee and then have her sleep it off —— she’d be gone before he knew it.
“No, there’s no need to process her. I’m sorry for the trouble.” He turned his gaze to the brunette, his nose scrunched slightly in anger. “Come on, Lennon. Go inside.”
{{ —————— }}
“Thank you for bringing her here first. She normally doesn’t do this.” Allen muttered quietly to the officer before saying I’m sorry one last time and shutting the door. It was then that he turned around, disappointment evident on his face. No words fell from his lips as he scrutinized his wife —— soon to be ex-wife.
Suddenly his hands itched for a pen. This was just the push he needed.
Still, in spite of his anger, he felt the need to comfort her; to ask what was going on. Instead, he shook his head, muttered a “follow me” and walked towards the bathroom.
He was no stranger to this. In fact, his tolerance was rather impressive as he had grown fairly accustomed to having liquor in his system. It became more of a ritual than a pleasure. But Lennon…..he never saw her as being someone to abuse alcohol. It made him angry. He didn’t want this for her.
He didn’t want her to be like him.
Allen had the shower going within seconds, the cold water on a fixed setting. While he knew that taking a shower wouldn’t sober her up, he knew that it would make the experience much easier. That and she smelled like booze.
“Hop in. I’ll have clothes waiting outside the door when you’re done. Then,” he said before walking out of the bathroom and turning back to her, “we can drink coffee and discuss what the hell is going on.” His words were harsh though his tone was kind. He didn’t want to come across as rude, only concerned.
Lennon waited for Allen to tell the officer that he wanted nothing to do with her. In her mind, Allen hated her, how could he not? She cheated on him after all, she was the monster that ruined them and that's all that she saw herself as. But, when she was told to go inside Lennon looked up at her husband and nodded, she didn't say a word she just stumbled inside of her soon-to-be-ex-husband's house and stood behind him. She didn't know how she was still standing, she drank so much that she could barely stand and everything was so, so fuzzy...
She didn't know what to think, what to expect. Part of her barely knew what was going on because she was so drunk. She just did as Allen said, she followed him to his bathroom. She knew she probably smelled alcohol, at this point she probably sweat out booze because of how constant her drinking was. "Okay.." she said quietly walking into the bathroom.
Lennon took a long time in the shower, she spent most of her time with her back towards the faucet letting and thinking about everything that happened that night. She felt so stupid and childish, but most of all she felt broken and she was just using the booze to try and fix herself or at least feel okay with how low she was. When she was done with the shower she grabbed a towel and dried herself off before getting the clothes Allen left out for her. It killed Lennon to wear his clothes, smell his smell. She missed him so much, but he didn't miss her. She needed to just get over it.
She knew he wanted to talk, but what was she going to say to him? She couldn't tell him everything it just made her look so pathetic. But, she so desperately wanted to vent to someone and she trusted Allen so much. She needed him to help her. She needed him.
Lennon made her way to his kitchen and smiled as best as she could to him "You remember that I take it black... Right?" She said quietly leaning up against a wall. After short silence Lennon spoke quietly and slowly, slurring every single word she said "Allen... I'm sorry, for this.. Thank you, for helping me. I didn't think you would.."
“Really good prank, teenagers of Portland —- spray-painting a giant penis on the front door, super clever. Now, I have to spend the first three hours of my shift cleaning off a giant rod, thanks.”
"Ugggggggh. Teenagers are the worst. One hit my car the other day, and can you guess what the little fucker did? He ran. All teenagers should be locked up until adulthood so un non-teenagers don't have to deal with them."
"I can give you the number of the chap who usually takes care of this problem for me —- if it’s not entirely beyond repair, but he’s a miracle worker, I assure you. Do you need a ride anywhere, darling?”
"Oh.. That'd be lovely, thanks. I don't think it's anything not fixable. No thank you, my car is still working, just the fender is all banged up now."
"Do you know what they look like? Also how bad are the damages? - I might know someone who could help."
"No I don't, but I have their license plate. I'm deffiantly bringing it to the cops... Well, my car wasn't totaled, luckily. But, I'm going to need a new fender most likely. It's almost like the idiot forgot to break..."
I guess we’ve got something in common then.
Yeah I guess we do... So.., what do you want? You know, the thing you can't have.
