I wanted to ask, do you have any sketches of Obi-Wan without your Stewjoni design? I think it’s so lovely, I just can’t imagine him without these traits in your style anymore haha

i actually do not.. that one unfinished piece i posted a while ago in that wip dump was the first obiwan i ever drew and at first he only had the tail (because my stewjoni au originally began with me giving him the age old fantasy trope of Creature With Tail) but i went back a little later on and gave him pointy ears as i started developing the au further..

this is the unfinished full btw, u can even see he still has people ears in the left LOL

Hellloooo, the Faedelie Au is so amazing and incredibly detailed. I love seeing different takes on near human species in Star Wars, especially when you can experiment with existing characters who are shown to be normal humans lol.

I think my biggest take away from the art tho slso is how older Obi in that Au looks so much like his mentor Qui Gon and I love it so much.

THANK YOUUU.. ME TOO its such a fun worldbuilding activity, so ripe with opportunities, like you can literally do whatever you want.. stewjon is such a nothingburger potential planet with only two canonical characters to its name so its incredibly easy to build up its people and culture however youd like.. the legitimate stewjon aus ive seen are so full of possibilities as well, like (off the top of my head) deniiqig's owl/bird people as well as the wider, more fanon accepted archaic 'stewjon is space scotland' aus where they try to drown force sensitive children & obiwan's name means 'no one, son of none'.. i hope we see more meaningful and interesting stewjon aus like that in the future.. i have a lot of fun working on mine and would love to see others that are just as passionate and unique..

that was purposeful! in a similar vein to how movie obiwan cut his mullet to a more clean cut hairstyle for the clone wars (for in universe reasons we can only assume were professionalism), stewjoni obw styled his hair in a way that he felt was more visually mature and respectable since cutting it wasn't really an option.. whether subconsciously or methodically, he based his new look off of his old master who was the most venerable person he knew

at some point id like to draw an obw hair progression chart from over the years just to showcase all the different lengths and styles he went through for funsies.. he didnt start learning about his culture and where he came from until he was in his late teens so his hairstyles also represent that!

I hope this doesn’t come off as weird, but I just read through your Stewjoni document, and I thought it was really really cool that you gave information about their reproductive biology including genitals? It’s something that I feel like many people who do worldbuilding shy away from and it’s such a great design!!

THANK U FOR ENJOYING IT...!!! its my goal to make my au as realistic and nuanced as possible (within a star wars worldbuilding scope at the very least anyway) so i've been having a lot of fun doing research and touching on subjects that arent necessarily brought up in broader conversations just to add detail and make it feel more real and lived in.. to meeee, my au isnt just an au but how i actively view the characters in my head, as if it is actually canon, so i wanted to emphasize their biological differences as well since i kept their appearance pretty outwardly human looking for practical and recognizability purposes

YAYYYYYY ur so sweet omg ok sooooo ive been sitting on this au for like a year which i created because i love worldbuilding, anthropology, and speculative biology/evolution so like a month or two ago i decided 2 finally sit down and write down my entire in depth headcanons for my near human stewjoni au in the form of a wookiepedia-esque article... the doc right now is sitting at 13 pages long cuz im delusional & ITS STILL A WIP im still adding and editing things but for the most part its legible and fully informative about my #vision

tldr if yall dont feel like scrolling thru my insane person manifesto, my felidae stewjoni au is an au in which the native inhabitants of the planet stewjon are a reclusive but peaceful race descended from their planets feline apex predator.. major inspirations for the (loosely) cultural and linguistic aspects of this au heavily feature northern china, mongolia, tibet, japan, south asia, and scotland.. i initially set out to create this au inspired by the popular japanese/scottish stewjon headcanons ive seen floating around but as the world kept expanding in my head it kind of strayed away from that specific vision but i eventually swung full circle..

at some point id like to finish all my stewjoni obw wips as well as draw stewjoni natives and the flora & fauna of the planet so i can add pictures 2 my doc but. well (scratches ass.. im doopid
