Although the majority of her face was covered up, he eyes were still visible. Ezio saw the strangers eyes flicker towards Leonardo, “Your business is with and me alone, answer my questions!“

Leonardo can’t move. It’s not that he’s scared enough but he physically can’t. As if something’s holding him down. “our business is with the Apple.” She says and her eyes keep lingering to the artist.

“If you don’t disappear yourself, you will soon disappear by my hand”. Ezio stepped towards the woman, prandishing his blade, pointing at her.

“Your weapons do not scare me Ezio Auditore.”  She says.  She’s planning something, Leonardo can see the wheels turning in her head.  Is this the Goddess that brought them here ?

“I’ve given you enough chances stranger!” Ezio struck first but she was ready. There was a flash of light as she pulled our her own sword and motioned to meet Ezio swing. “Do not underestimate me!” She yelled.

And this is where it's time to go! But Leonardo can't leave and have bystanders come and already a few are flocking over so he takes it upon himself to try and get everyone away while the woman blocks Ezios attack and starts her own attack

The Wall of Paint

“What ?  Oh no no it’s fine.  Just…if it gets late make sure you force me to stop.  I’ve bene yelled at so many times to take better care of myself while working.”  He says as he keeps coming up with ideas.  He only sleeps around 3-4 hours if that and when he works he barely eats or does anything to care for himself.  

Emiline nodded her head. “Ok then…” she still felt a little weird about it but decided she knew what he was doing. It would be fine. She just was not really used to it but knew she should just leave him to it. “So… I guess I will see you later. ” she walked towards the door and stopped looking back to him for a moment. With a moment of hesitation she stepped out of the bedroom to leave him to paint as she went into the kitchen and made herself a coffee for the time being.

He hums his response and gets to work.  “Ah si si !”    He mumbles to himself and keeps working.  His vision is coming out perfect.  Or he hopes it is.  Something doesn’t sit well as he tries it over again.

The Wall of Paint

“Oh no no I am good.  But thank you.”  He says and keeps going up to the wall, tracing patterns of what he might paint and the image of what he’s going to paint sticks in his mind as he keeps stepping back.  One bad trait of Leonardo is how deep he gets in his work.  Won’t eat or drink or sleep. 

Emiline watched as he already began to attack the wall with pencilling out various ideas that could work. She really did not know what to do and was unsure whether to even stand there and look of if it would make him more uncomfortable. “Oh ok… Well can I do anything or get anything for you? Not sure if you want me to get out of your way or not?” She asked keeping her distance as her eyes followed him as he moved about the space.

The Wall of Paint

“My apartment is definitely messier then this so it’s quite okay.”  He looks to the wall and hums.  “As a nature lover I find the idea fantastic.”  He says as he feels the wall, just to get a feel.  “Would you like the trees normal color at first but as the trees or the focal point go far back it’s purple ?”  He asks, all ready formulating a plan of attack.

“Well you’re the master here, Leonardo. I’ll let you decide what you think looks better.” she nodded as she looked from him to the wall. “Would you like a drink or anything? Maybe there is something I could do to help you with the wall” she knew he would likely turn down any help with the painting as afterall, this was his specialist field but she still wanted to offer. She hoped one day he may invite her over to his apartment. She could only imagine how interesting it would be.

The figure landed in front on them. “If you have come for the apple, you’re too late it not here”. The figure was dressed all in black apart from a red cape. It replied “Your lies will not deceive us Ezio Auditore, give up the apple”. It was woman, she sounded young but with a level of maturity to it.

Leonardo looks around to make sure no one is seeing this.  “Ezio ?”  He asks, unsure of whether to run inside or not.  He’s not good with fights but his path is being blocked.

“Stay behind me Leonardo! Let me handle this!” He stepped towards the woman with his guard still raised. “Who are you and who are you working for?!"

He does what he’s told, gripping his backpack.  If only he can make it to his shop. . .  

“We just want to Apple Ezio Auditore.  Give the apple and things will be better.”  Something in her tone tells if he doesn’t then someone is about to get hurt

Well he is disappointed that he couldn’t paint her wall.  Then again he also did come unannounced so that definitely is part of it too.  “Oh stop it’s not that magical but si of course I can help with the bedroom !  As long as the client’s happy as I always say.”  He smiles brightly

“Aw stop! You work magic with your paintbrushes. You’re really talented. Shit if I was as good at something as you are then hell I’d be in a different business. “ she took his arm and led him into the bedroom which for now was completely bare other than various old sheets thrown all over the floor from when she’d painted before. “Sorry it’s still kinda messy from when I painted before.” she walked across the room and over to the back wall. “ I was thinking this wall could be nice. I had a few ideas in mind because I was originally going to wall paper it all but shit considering you could paint this wall so amazingly.. I’d be honoured if you could paint me a really nice scenic view… but with a twist maybe” she pondered and tapped her finger against her bottom lip. “ I was thinking something like the view of a path leading into the distance surrounded by trees with falling leaves but plottttt twisttt” she spun around to face him. “ It’s all purple themed so all purple leaves and shit… What do you think? I mean you are the expert!” she grinned.

“I get that quite a lot back home.”  He backs up with his hands on his hips.  “Well I felt bad you didn’t get a commission and seeing as how I am not busy and was in the mood for wall painting.  I am here to surprise you a complimentary wall painting.  If you like it I can add wall painting as another type of commission of my shop.”  

“Oh!” she was actually rather surprised he had decided to come here and give her a complimentary commission. He was such a kind man, she loved how sweet he was. There all not enough people like Leonardo out there. “You’re very sweet. I couldn’t let you do that though. That’s really too much.” she stepped across to him touching his arm. “ I did just paint the place anyways but it really was a nice gesture.” she felt bad for him coming all this way. “ I’d love a commission from you though.” she paused. “ Maybe you could help me with my bedroom? I was thinking of having a feature wall and what better than one of your fabulous works of magic” she smiled brightly, hoping it could of been a good alternative for the both of them. “If not then hey… I can make us some good coffee. I got a new coffee machine and it’s the bomb!”

“Trying to see where we can paint on the wall.  And what really.”  He turns to her.  “Can I pick 20 questions please ?  I have adding questions with questions.”  He jokes with a smile.  

“Painting on the wall?” She was sure that they never spoke about painting the wall. A big canvas was one thing but the wall was another. She didn’t exactly have a feature wall to use. She nodded. “You go mad with your q’s, Leonardo.” She gave him a smile. “But first… Why are you wanting to paint my wall? I gotta say… I am a little confused here man."

Ezio was thinking of his family. The father and brothers that he had lost. The mother and sister that he missed dearly. He could see in his mind, looking at his father and brothers in the gallows feeling, useless and desperate. He had the same feeling now. The feeling that he did not know what to do. He hated to feel this way. So useless and pathetic. A shame to his family. 

Suddenly, he had a sharp pain through his head. With an agonising scream, Ezio dropped down to his knees, clutching at his face in pain. He was blind apart from the shinning bright light in his eyes. He didn’t know what to do. All he could do was scream.

Leonardo heard the screams and ran to the sound with his backpack with the apple inside it; the backpack is something he never leaves without so of course it’d follow him here.  He didn’t think twice because he know where it was coming from.  He can catalogue the notes later on why it affected Ezio like that but on this but for now Ezio needs him.  He doesn’t scream his name because he doesn’t need that but sits next to him.  “Ezio what’s wrong??” Obviously his head but usually asking can lead to answers

“Pain.. Such pain inside my head, please give me a a few moments I’ll be fine. I’m already feeling better”. He was sure Leonardo wouldn’t believe this lie.  Ezio moved his hands from his face and slowly opened his eyes and looked around. He noticed Leonardo had brought out the bag with the apple inside. “No.. Be careful Leonardo the apple is their main target”.

“Too bad I don’t believe you amico mio.”  He says and stares at him with worry.  “Don’t worry Ezio the apple won’t fall to anyone’s hands.  That’s why I brought it with me.”  He doesn’t leave but he backs him just a bit so he can have breathing room.

Ezio looked up at his friend and frowned. He didn’t feel like this was right. It did not feel safe to have the apple out and especially in a place he did not know very well. He thought about how quiet it was, he couldn’t see anyone or even hear a bird call. 

Suddenly it went dark, the bright afternoon sun was blotted out by a figure descending from the sky like a Falcon. Ezio rushed to his feet, he moved in front of Leonardo and readied his blades.

“Come on amico mio don’t fro. . .” He was going to say but stops mid sentence as Ezio immediately gets into his stance.  “Ezio ?” He asks confused at his friend, wondering what’s going on in this place.

He looks around.  “Ah si si I’m fine.”  He says and goes to the wall, mentally measuring and finding a perfect spot to paint.  “Well I was thinking a dragon but I don’t know do you prefer dragons?   I always loved dragons, favorite to draw.”  He muses

Emiline watched him walk back and forth as he seemed to be working something out in his head, still not sure what he was doing. “Dragons? I suppose they are cool. Some anyways” she couldn’t help but laugh. It made her think of Toothless and made her wonder if they had met, though she felt they probably had. It was hard to miss someone with dragon like features. “What are you doing?” she scanned him with her eyes. “ Do you have some sort of fetish here or are we playing 20 questions” she smirked, teasing him in a playful manner. She knew Leonardo seemed rather serious but was hoping he may have a playful side too.
