So I feel like I’ve turned over a new leaf recently w/ my work and I needed to clear out my tumblr of bad garbage stuff that’s been weighing on me a little. (the adventure zone stuff is gone too, sorry I know some of you liked those, feel free to dm me if you want the jpegs for whatever reason!) Sometimes you can get a little ahead of yourself like trying to run marathons before you know how to tie your shoelaces. That’s sort of what I was feeling about making ‘finished’ looking work, like I was making these bad not good sketches with no real understanding of fundamentals - and *finishing* them consisted of covering over the gaps in my knowledge because I had a Fear of learning honestly. This didn’t feel good ofc and the work was just fraught. But I’ve learnt to stop caring what my drawings look like and start caring about how it feels to drawings, which is good! But also sometimes still scary and anxious! Anyway these pics are layouts from a [taking it slow] drawing journal I’d like to put together over the next (10 months). Hope that wasn’t too much.
