Hello everyone, I want to briefly address the situation regarding my blog. Some of the work I previously shared was not entirely my own, and I take responsibility for that. My other writing is original, and I understand why this has caused frustration. Because of the attention this has brought, I’ve decided to step back from posting fiction on this account for now and start fresh on a new one. I will not be leaving Tumblr, just moving to a different space.
I also want to address the claims being made about my layout. I do not agree with the accusation that I copied from anyone. If there were concerns, I would have preferred to be contacted directly at the time so I could have clarified things, rather than it being discussed publicly later on. Our blogs have very different aesthetics, and there was no coordination between them. I also do not understand the claim about copying tags, as the tagging system I use is very common across Tumblr and has been influenced by many authors and fandom spaces over time.
My blog consists of a simple layout that is commonly used across Tumblr, including a profile image and a few standard posts, which is a typical format many writers use. There is nothing unique or exclusive about it, and any similarity is coincidental rather than intentional.
I acknowledge my own content, and I understand that similarities in tagging or presentation can happen within shared communities and trends. However, beyond that, I do not believe there is anything substantiating claims that I have taken anything from someone else, including names or identity elements.
To the person who raised these concerns, (my old moot)I understand there were issues from your perspective, but this could of been handled differently. I would have preferred to be contacted directly rather than it being discussed publicly. If there was a problem, I believe blocking or unfollowing would have been a clearer and more straightforward approach instead of accusations.
I want to be clear that I am not interested in continuing arguments or engaging in back-and-forth discussion about this situation. I do not feel strongly about prolonging it, and I’m choosing to step away from it entirely. I also think this situation has been blown out of proportion, and most people involved will likely move on from it very quickly.
I also want to address the messages I have received in my inbox, including racial and homophobic abuse, which is not acceptable under any circumstances. And that being the primary base of the authors followers/mutuals is extremely concerning but thats her issue and it would be weird of her to not address it.
I am moving this account of my own decision, as it’s clear that continuing to post here would not be productive, as I do not see that as useful at this point.
I would also not argue with a grown woman who posts, “internet porn” of anime characters,, as stated herself and their weird bigoted followers. There really is no point in it. So anybody wanting me to be upset or down about the situation, sorry but ;(
I will be making a new Tumblr account where I will be posting the exact same content, so nothing is really changing other than the fact that I am simply moving to a new account.
And like I said, thank you to all my mutuals who were so sweet. You are the people I truly have empathy for and appreciate in all of this.
Anyways, I will be making a new account. Thank you for all the support. (I will still be active on this acc, just not posting fanfics.)
