The best girls👒🌿☀️🌲🦋
I am excited to announce that the sewing pattern I created/used to make Nellie and Raquel’s dresses is now available on my brand new Etsy shop, DIYdolldesigns!
Now the whole Parkington/Edwards/O’Malley/Reyes family can match in their cute little checkered dresses.

At long last, I have acquired all of the original American Girl story collections!

2 of my faves ready for spring! 🐣🌷🪺
Earlier American Girl catalogs really had a unique kind of style.
I made Josefina a new sarape from a woven placemat I found at the thrift store. I just cut a slit in the center and used a finishing stitch on the raw edges. So easy!
A huge thank you to seqquindolls on instagram for this gorgeous outfit, which looks spectacular on Kavi!

Kirsten is here for the last day of Jammie January. She wears her soft flannel nightgown with a cute little yarn bow at the neckline.
After having just a homemade version for a few decades, a while back I found an off-brand baby doll at a thrift store who was wearing Kirsten's Pleasant Company nightgown. It was in better shape than my homemade version, so I kept it.
I did make her housecoat, and the felted wool slippers I forgot to photograph before it got dark. Pretty much everything else in her bedroom seen here--furniture, bedding, and accessories--is also homemade! Her doll Sari is the real thing. I've had Sari almost as long as I've had Kirsten.
